What you two do with this channel is so valuable. To show, in such detail, two adults with full time jobs chasing fitness goals and achieving them is just wonderful. It does really put into perspective what can be achieved even for those of us who aren't professional athletes.

Feel like I should also add that seeing what Mary does and getting such a good insight into the training and mindset is also incredible for female participation in running. Being so open and genuine I think really makes these things seem achievable to more women and encourages more people to just get up and try things. You've really provided incredible role models for anyone at any stage in their running journey, or even just their general fitness journey.

Congratulations to you both! 👏 Mary, in the last video you said you had to "allow yourself to be an inspiration". Now maybe it's time to allow yourself to be a Thai National 10K champion. 🙂

Congratulations to the Thailand national 10k champion. Mary
The yawn at 5:50 cracked me up. The double take 😂😂
National Champion! Way to go Mary! I'm a 40 year old woman who loves running, and you don't get to see a lot of just regular women my age get these kind of achievements on youtube. That's why you're such an inspiration to me!
Congratulations both. Brilliant. And, Mary.... National Thai champ!!! Is there a Thai sports personality of the year?! Get your speech sorted if so ☺️

Ha ha I’m making her write her speech now. Cheers Mark 😊
This show keeps getting better, Mary is a champion it's amazing to watch her be surprised at how good she is,, well done,,
@6:34 I was 100% expecting you to start sprinting when you saw the women’s winner sprinting behind you! Well done for allowing her to have that victory. You’re a better man than me. 😅
I look forward to the video in a few years time where Mary gives Ben a head start in a race and then sees if she can catch him up! Agree with the earlier comment about Mary having a go at a 5k - seems in shape to take a massive chunk off that PB too
Wow. Just watched your sub 20 5k video from 2 years ago right before this and it's amazing to see you now run a sub 40 10k, incredible work you have put in!
What Mary said about belief is completely true! I trained for 16 weeks for a Half Marathon race in December, was hoping to do sub 1:55:00. Did 1:59:39. And although it was a PB at that time and a negative split, I didn't believe I could actually get to the sub 1:55:00. I've been training for the last 10 weeks for another HM attempt which was today. And I'm so glad I saw this video before this race happened. You have to believe you can accomplish something before you do it. It gets you to start the training plans, to work through the weekly sessions and workouts. It gets you out of your comfort zone to try, stay in the hurt locker and push! I thank you so much for this video! Today's results: 1:54:52!! I got my sub 1:55:00 for a half marathon!! Thank you for your videos and your help. Would not have been in a position to make today a reality without you both. Thank you Ben and Mary!!
Incredible, both! Inspiring stuff! - Mack
Congratulations to both!!! But since I am a female runner... Congratulations to Mary. This is so inspiring
National Thai Champion! That's so fantastic!! Congrats to everyone running PB's at the same race! That's highly unusual and super special.
Way to go both!! I watch your videos all the time. I started longer distance running about 2 years ago at age 50. Ran my 1st marathon in Dec 2022, did not go as planned but it was fun (4:20). My daughter ran the marathon as well and qualified for Boston. She ran it in 3:10 flat. She was 1st female in her age group. 2nd overall in her age group! we are now getting ready for our 1st Ultra, a 50K in Nevada. Thank you for your videos. They are fun, they are full of advices and inspiration! Keep it up please!
Amazing achievements, and love the solid breakdowns of what got you here. "What if it goes better than you expect?" may have to be my favourite thing I've ever heard

Congratulations you two, fantastic! Mary, especially well done. Last weekend I went sub 20 in a 5k for the first time ever (19:56). Never ever thought it was possible. Watching you do this now in the 10k has made me wonder what I might be able to do at a 10k
You two are always winners!! Congratulations!! I think you embody the best of the running movement in this world.
Congrats to you both! I love the look on Mary's face after she crossed the line! I have an 8k coming up in April and I'm a little bummed out because I was being *super* consistent, running through bad January weather, but I pushed myself a bit too hard (I boosted my weekly by 50% in Week 4) and gave myself a shin splint for my troubles. It's almost healed though! The acclimatization is interesting! Makes me wonder if it works at all for me, since we get wild weather swings every 6 months in Canada - winter is like -5C and summer is +27C usually, and humid. I don't think we stay consistent enough for it to mean much one way or the other...
Huge congrats to Mary!!! 👏
Wow, Mary that is absolutely crazy! What a fabulous run. Good work.
Am in absolute awe of you both! Hard work, consistency, belief! I'm about 7 years older than you, Mary and post menopausal. Slowly getting mojo back but even in my early 40's the times you are now achieving would have been way beyond me! You are a very natural runner but also work for it. Kudos 🙌

Whhooop whoop national thai 10k champion! So proud of you guys. We're running a 10k in 10 days. And I'm "dreaming" of doing a sub 60 🙏🙏🙏 which will mean knocking off 4 minutes of the time I did last year. Thanks to your advice, I've been doing lots of long and slow to train for half marathons, so I hope all the training will get us there ❤😅
Way to go Ben great job! Must be hard living with a National Champion!!! Honestly Mary great job!!

And National Champion of Thailand doesnt ever go away, thats a lifetime achievement. Epic. MB, former national champion.....has a ring to it. Brilliant efforts.
Ben and Mary, I ran a 3:00 minute PB in the 10k to go sub 50 minutes this Saturday. In miles 4 and 5 when I dug into the hurt locker I remembered your giant PBs in this video and that kept me going! Keep up the good work.
Well done both. Always great if can surprise yourself. I wonder if after lots of longer races and indeed trail ones that a fast, seemingly flat course allowed the improved endurance and indeed adaption to the weather to come through.
Congratulations to both. Everyone on the channel knew Mary would end up Thai champion of course ;-) Regarding consistency, I wonder if there are studies about it, when you "need to change". What I mean is that despite the weather here in Canada, I have managed for the first time in 15 years to remain consistent, but whenever there was more snow than running surface, I switched to nordic skiing, as I did today after work. I feel much safer on skis than running on uneven slippery ground well past my fifties. What I wonder, is how much of it will translate into running fitness. I believe there must be some carry over: 2 days ago, I ran at a good pace with a low heart rate although I had mostly skied for a at least 2 weeks. But are there actual studies? I heard Kathy Schide skied in the winter and and even Paula Radcliffe mentioned it in a recent interview with a German KZread Triathlon Channel. Conversely, Dorothea Wierer, a professional biathlete, posts amazing track and running workouts on Strava in the summer.
Congrats! I'm gonna have a 10k race myself this sunday. Aiming for sub-50, hoping for the best!
You're both an inspiration, but Mary especially to me. You look so strong and confident when you run. When i feel tired and weak i think of you running and i get a bit of extra steam.
National Thai 10k champion Mary Bridges 😃 whoop whoop totally and utterly brilliant and totally and utterly deserved massive congratulations to the both of you - keep on smashing it guys ur both an inspiration ❤❤
Those times are absolutely incredible, you’re both right to be very proud. If I ever get to low 40’s for a 10k I’d be so happy.
You guys are awesome makes me want to go for a quick run. Oh yeah, ice storm outside. Could use a little Thai heat right now. Congrats
Holy smokes - what an achievement, Mary (and Ben, of course)! Awesome to see how your smile carries you through your running career. Bravo!

Thank you Mary and Ben! This video helped me get back under 20 minutes on today's parkrun, something I was not expecting. "What if it could turn out better than you could have ever imagined?"
Congrats! So amazing, be proud of yourself
That's an incredible pair of PBs well done 👏
Don't usually comment but this is truly inspiring and massively motivating! Currently having an awful Manchester Marathon block due to an old knee injury (my second attempt at a marathon, going for sub 3 after running a 3.03 last year) and have thought about giving up completely, not just on the block but on running.. but videos like this, are keeping me going.
