No need to apologize to anyone. If that’s how you make an honest living - so be it. Keep making great content, for the ones that disagree they can go to Walmart.
Don't be sorry Dude. There was nothing graphic in this video...this is life. You keep on making good videos.

Keep the videos coming. I'm from Ky and it's a part of life. You shouldn't worry about what others think. I saw nothing graphic in your video, lol. Love your channel, both of them!
Man, I miss living on the farm. I live in Louisville proper now and this takes me back to living on my dad's farm. We have 100 acres in Western Kentucky and it's heaven on earth. I envy you, man.

Don't apologize for doing what needs to be done! Great video and Good luck with the rest of your season!!!!
Thanks for being so patient and kind with your words when explaining the importance of trapping or hunting. Kind words of educated thoughts help to win people from the other side over. Keep it up!
I wish he was still on KZread. He has a wonderful personality and disposition. It is wonderful that you use most if not all of the animal. And that you arent just killing for fun or trying to wipe out the pest population. Its good to cull the population every so often when it becomes too much.
Great channel you have here. You make me feel right at home 🏡. Thanks for sharing
This is the life of a homesteader, farmer, etc. My dad was given crap by a group of folks some years back for raising beef cattle. I kid you not...a few hours later one of their group was at the local Dairy Queen eating a big ole cheese burger! No joke! SERIOUSLY folks where do you think God intended our food to come from. HE provides and good folks like John (my dads name too btw) manage what God gave us to survive. I am a huge proponent for animal welfare. I donate to my local shelters and adore and pamper my pets. I am however NOT oblivious to the needs of all Gods creation. That includes man and beast. What you're doing and folks like Jason at BB are opening eyes and educating folks. You're good men doing whatever you have to to care for your families. Like my dad. God Bless you and yours. Thank you for all you do!

This guy is how I learned to skin my own animals! God bless you and your family.
That was awesome thanks for letting us who don't know about living in the country know how things work out there. It's a learning experience, keep up the good work.
John I have been watching your channel for along time. I like that you show real life. People that don't like it, have no idea how hard you work to provide for your family.Great job, & God Bless you & your family.
A good and responsible caretaker of nature and livestock. Most any farmer would appreciate you as a friend and neighbor. Good video.
Thank you so much for sharing jnull0! you are such a multi- talented man. Yes, you are indeed! you can make hats, the Salisbury Steak was to die for. Your family is so lucky to have you especially your wife. God Bless you for working so hard and providing for your family!
hey Jnull, im front the horrible state of New Jersey, i love your videos, going on 3 years now, and may God Bless you and your entire family
Spot on regarding the predators! You wouldn't believe the backlash I got for "thinning the raccoon population". The city lady said, they don't do any harm & are friendly animals. Obviously those type have NO CLUE how vicious they can be!

I have had pet raccoons that were wild animals, I would throw out cat food on our front porch because they lived under the house, then I would watch them scurry up and eat through the glass door... Then after a few months, they would walk right up to me and take bread and stuff out of my hands lol then again I'm a country girl and the raccoon population grew and grew and we ended up losing all our chickens to them. So lol they can be nice, but yeah they get out of control and kill everything....

G. Green , Your sooooo typical of the MORONS who have NO idea of how the real world works. Same kind of hypocrite rectum who has no qualms eating what others have grown, killed, butchered out & delivered to your table. Try NOT being a hypocrite parasite & joining the REAL WORLD. At LEAST try learning some game managment & hopefully your head will pop out of your ass. IDIOT!!

In Virginia a couple decades ago, the raccoon population was not only huge, but largely rabid. Large populations pass contagion around more rapidly and when that population lives among people and domestic animals, things can get serious.
You don't have to apologize for this video. It was very well done. Helping out a friend and putting food on the table at the same time.Good catch!
I'm a commercial fisherman retired that is. And that expression went red sky in the morning sailor take warning red sky at night Sailor's Delight. I wish my old boat captain was still alive. Diabetes and hepatitis both took him out. He was 61 and a half years old. When I see your videos. It reminds me of him. Because he looked just like you. Except for the fact that his beard was gray. Have a nice day and God bless.
Nice Job John I wish more people would understand more about wildlife management

Ya, Sadly alot of people think its cruel and what not, But really they are just stupid.
Killing should never be comfortable. But it is sometimes necessary. Thanks for a calm and non-emotional explanation of the facts.
Some beautiful country there. Trapping nusince animals is important, no one crys over trapping rats or mice

I feel bad for rats and mice too because they are amazing animals and just try to live, but you gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.
Thanks for showing us this and for explaining everything (to us city/suburban folk).
Don't apologize to all those city people who only know animals from zoos and movies. Man has been a hunter/trapper longer than any other profession or lifestyle. Haters just need to quite because we won't, it's in our DNA!
Red sky at night sailors delight, Red sky in morning Sailors take warning. Great video thanks.
Hey, John, get two cinder blocks and take them down to that concrete culvert, put one on each side, on an angle. Wire a one and a half coil spring to each block. Set trap between block and the wall. You will pop every mink and coin coming through there
Great job I get some folks don't like these type of videos but hey it's part of your life and KZread land is a place for you to share that life.
Don't apologize! I'm 20 and I decided to start my own homestead. I love animals and I'm an animal activist but I also know how real life is. I do get unsettled watching these videos sometimes but it's life. I love watching your videos! You show how homesteading is. It's tough sometimes. People who don't homestead should say anything because they don't know what it's like protecting a farm. Also please do more rabbit videos 😂 you're the reason I added rabbits to my little farm!
An interesting video indeed, made by a seemingly friendly and kind man, furnishing us with a great deal of background information, plenty of explanation, and a description, of what is being done, and why it is really necessary. Omitting video of the dispatching of what you catch, which one assumes must take place, seems maybe a good idea at first, but actually is an integral part of what you do. If it is necessary and is carried out, it should also be shown, in my humble opinion. Thanks for taking the trouble to make this video and place it here on KZread.

I agree with Greg Hiller. Great video and I like the way you teach. I also do believe you should show how you dispatch your catches. It's part of the process of and for people like me it would give me an idea of how to go about it in the most humane way so they don't suffer. Awesome video, thanks for sharing your life with us😊😊😊
Love this video and love your way of life brother. Couldn't of said it any better. Thanks for taking us along really enjoyed this video hope you post more
I think ALL of your videos are amazing. You have showed us that you are a special husband to your beautiful wife. A terrific father. Great cook. You make a well rounded man seem easy and natural. There should be more men like you. Love your videos and Thank you and your family for sharing your lives with us. God Bless 😍👍👏🐴
Glad you got some fresh furs, and some meat for meals. Thanks for sharing
Really like this style of video! Keep em coming and more regular dude fishing!! I went to the greenup dam for the first time ever yesterday and met Wayne lol
Hey way to go! Thanks for letting me ride along on ur trapline!
Great video man. You really convinced me of the importance of trapping in your situation. You seem like a really pleasant and respectful guy
We have your winter here in California, been storming nonstop......you can have it back now Lol....Great video
Trapping was a big way of life when this country was settled good video
you don't have to say sorry to nobody. because what you are doing is the right thing to do if you truly love the outdoors. love the video good job
Thank you from those of us that like turkeys, quail, and other wild birds to hunt or watch.
Great video. I agree this is a part of life and it has to be done. It's the same way with other things too. Really liked this video.
Absolutely fantastic video. Well shot, and spot on narration.
You are better at this than you give yourself credit for. 5 traps and 4 kills seems pretty darned good to me.
Great job managing the wildlife. Nice size raccoons
Oh i wanted to say you do a really great job. Thanks
Great video JNull. I think you did well. Saved to ugly parts but still put out a very informative video. 👏
People who don't live in the country have no idea what it's like to protect livestock. Yes its painful to kill animals but at least we are not out killing for the sake of killing something, we are protecting a small area to raise livestock, that's all. Good video and good trapping!

i get harassed all the time for killing the rattlesnakes on my property. Here in the AZ desert, theres millions of snakes. People think they are "rare" because the only time city folk see them is in the zoo. If someone killed a jack rabbit, nobody would shed a tear.. But God forbid someone kill an extremely deadly and dangerous snake that coils up in your water hoses or eats your chickens XD If you dont live in the country, dont tell country people how to live XD

I get frustrated when people tell me that its evil to kill animals. I use every part of the animal. I watch people shop at grocery stores that bring in way to much meat just to make the store look nice.

@@thekommisarfirstsecretary That's equally b.s. I've seen documented (film and press release photos) of people (if that's what you want to call them) protesting so-called "rattle snake round-ups).

Don't ever feel bad about that I live in the city and they are literally cannibalizing humans, this man nor any other man that lives off the land should be criticized, instead he should be the new wholesomeness meme like Bob Ross and mr. Rogers.
Thanks for the great memories, as a young man I did do some trapping for gas money.

My Dad and I trapped for many years when I was growing up here in Southern Indiana. It helped pay the winter bills and we always had a good Christmas. Hard, cold work. But it was fun and educational. And I sure treasure those memories of Dad and me hanging out. Just lost Dad last month. 81. He lived a great long life. I sure do miss him !

@@MrGregHiller Actually, this has comes from the Bible Matthew 16:2b-3: When it is evening, you say, "It will be fair weather; for the sky is red. And in the morning, "It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening. In the U.K, it was the general rule of thumb for sailors for centuries, but was referenced by Shakespeare: Like a red morn that ever yet betokened, Wreck to the seaman, tempest to the field, Sorrow to the shepherds, woe unto the birds, Gusts and foul flaws to herdmen and to herds Sailors used this one: Red sky at night, sailors' delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning
Good job. Love trapping in Wisconsin. Somebody has to keep predators down. Good Video.

Great video brother. I agree with ya. Black Crews can do damage on the corn to. Dam things are smart to. Lol
You make your points very well with respect for other peoples views. Well done, great video.
Hi jnull0, over her in uk we say "Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning, red sky at night shepherds delight”, just thought you would like to know lol Well done with your trapping ;-]
Good content, we appreciate guys that trap around here. Without it we would be overrun with critters. Thanks for what you do.
It's not like those raccoons haven't played hell with you on your homestead this year. I ran into a possum one night on the stairs. It had it's teeth and claws bared and was ready to attack. I backed away, not turning my back to it and went up another way. Yesterday, before getting out of my car a coyote came trotting down the street. Somebody was going to lose their cat or dog. They are wild, dangerous and they kill other animals. All this happened in the city. Thanks for sharing John. It's all part of life and necessary.
More need to do it, trap and hunt for conservation. Thanks for video 😀
Very informative video mate, not graphic at all ( thankfully ) well put together with more than enough reasons to enforce what you do and why, subbed.
Your a Trapperologist in my book! God Bless

City boy here... go get em...
Keep up the good work!❤️🇺🇸
Thanks for the video.
Don't ever apologize for your heritage/culture, it's what this country was built on. Be proud that you have the skill set to figure out the travel patterns, behavior, etc of your quarry. We've become too worried about being politically correct so as not to piss off the lunatic fringe, we're becoming ashamed to be hunters, outdoorsman and GREAT parents passing on traditions! Nice job!

thanks for sharing
Keep trapping brother!! Subscribed....good vid.
Enjoyed the video, no need to apologize for your lifestyle. Your entitled to live as you see fit. Kienel farm-ily homestead
Greetings from Thornton Colorado! Ya know its when people don't understand why you are doing this that disturbs them. Even when you explain over and over again they remain ignorant. I am a suburb and rural dweller, but I totally get the "What ,How and Whys" of what you are doing as I have two homes. One is in rural Northern California where this is a must. I wish more people understood. You need to cull these critters out, both to manage them and to protect your investment. Great video and keep up the good work.
nice work. God Bless.
Good job great lifestyle 👍
I'm not a farmer nor a homesteader but I purposely watched this video in order to learn something. If folks do not like trapping then DON'T WATCH THE VIDEO. No one is forcing us to view. Thank you for showing this. I wish more of this type of information were available and not edited to make it PG so as not offend someone's sensibilities. How else are we to learn these skills?
You are harvesting what God provides. You eat and use what you catch. Do not apologize. I know farmers that would love to have someone come in and thin out populations when they are out of balance.
A man brother keep on trapping and posting the videos the hell with the city slickers
