Lights are green, yellow, and red. There are no orange lights.

I love doing the dispatch thing on run8. Learning where to route which trains from their symbols is quite the task though.

Does the AI serve industries and/or move cars from yard to yard? Are they just traffic passing through from one end of the map to another?

AI can take trains to Barstow yard and West Colton Yard. They can also operate the humps at Barstow and West Colton Other then that they just pass from one end of the map to the other.

Can u do a video on how to create a multiplayer server?

so you can actually set the spawn rate of the trains?

Yes if you hit Left Shift + F2, you will open the Ai Trains Menu. From there you can change the spawn rate, and configure spawn points and you can even add spawn points too.
