  I wanna learn how to install these Switchers, I’ve looked for videos but they haven’t helped. I got the newest pack with an Ex BN. In order to use the ditch lights I’m guessing you need to be in reverse or forward.

  I'm still trying to figure out how to run some industry on TheDepot public server. Do I just spawn anywhere I want and create a train with tags for the destination I want to arrive at? Say Needles to Barstow, just assign all my cars to H-NEDBAR or something? Will the dispatcher guide me into an actual yard?

  I'm sorry, I haven't run on the Depot server. So I don't really know how they do operations over there. I think they have Discord where they might be able to help you. However, if you're playing on SP, then yes. Just tag the lead unit H-NEDBAR and Otto will route you into Barstow.

  @@ThatMateoGuy great thanks! I'll have to figure out some trains to run later. I've only been doing the ones listed under "trains" which so far all seem intermodal, if I'm using that term correctly. Basically you just get ran down the mainline until your out of track. Yard to yard stuff sounds more interesting

  4:30 "You can select locations you've probably visited." That'd ve hilarious if thats what it actually said. The game just being like, "you've probably been here before, have a fast-travel point." 😂

  If run8 got modern graphics and the hands-on operation style of TSW, all other train sims would go broke overnight

  The only reason graphics are the way they are is because run 8 focuses on the experience of running trains realistically, not only that but being able to stitch other routes together for seamless running from one territory to another. The higher the graphics the more the game will require. It made more sense to focus on the realism for operations and details on the locomotives and rolling stock. Don't get me wrong it would be super cool to have all of the above but the devs decided to focus on what most train Sims don't. I've loved run 8 since I first started using it a few years ago.

  Don't worry about your writer's block, Mateo, especially when playing games. Playing a game for enough time makes it uninteresting or tedious. Like you said, all these trains games may have "trained you out," so to speak. Take a break, chill out, and worry not! Post when you want, do what you want, whenever you want.   The speed limits on the drive are very, very restrictive. The two times I've driven this, I could have walked it faster. However, the major problem is...............I cannot apply a little brake, instead we grind to a complete halt and take some time to get going again. This is very different to TSW. The short distance of higher or indeed lower speed limits seem a little pointless too.

  I already have a Google Spread sheets made up that I update from time to time that everyone can use. It's been up for years and a lot of people use it.   Most. States have weigh stations a semi cant go over 80000 lbs if. You are hauling. A excavator you get permits for your weight. Go past a weight station you will get pulled over and escorted back to weigh station where you will get a level 1 inspection and a ticket. I am a driver with 3 million miles

  Keep up that Mateo-fasion stopping too soon! I keep running into cars at 10mph and derailing them. My safety rating is terrible. :/ Also, you can run into the freight cars at about 4.5 to 5mph without them getting damaged.

  Choo Choo, the assets look fairly generic, I guess it really depends on the driving feel although someone should explain to mateo that the brakes are analog not digital :)

  Heating up the boiler wont generate any power the more pressure the boiler has the faster the steam turbines will turn which means more power heat at 85% and water at 55% would be a stable condition always keep the heat and pressure gauge in view

  Hi. Please tell me how best to prescribe tags for trains that should be formed on approaches. But not in such a way that all the tags used are displayed on the cars in a strict sequence, but so that all the cars are mixed by tags. Now I am writing comma separated, but they are still formed by +- the same number of all tags equally. How best to write it down?

  Those trackmobiles aren't super powered, they are meant to be more agile than powerful (can get off the track and drive to other tracks). Trackmobile Titan, which looks a lot like the one in R8, is powered by the same 6.7L Cummins engine you'll find in a RAM 2500-3500 Pickup, paired to a John Deere transmission. In game, on flat tracks, I found 2-3 loaded, +/-6 emptys was the sweet spot.
