"A lot of things that we think are bad in everyday life are actually quite insignificant. Running is my hobby, so it's actually my choice to put myself there, and put myself through this misery. Whereas cancer was never a choice." This quote really stuck with me. Incredible film.

Just watched this again. As one who had a few fell races having read ‘Feet in the Clouds’. Had both hips replaced a few years back, and blood cancer treatment three years ago. Finding my feet again on the hills of Somerset having moved from London. Now 66 years young. Nicky, this is pure inspiration! What you’ve achieved is totally amazing… Enjoy 🌈

I don't know why you feel the need to sh*t on others. There are ways of praising one´s accomlishments without putting other people down. But while we are at it, this doesn't look that hard compared to some of the ultras in the US. In particular, one thing you do NOT have to deal with is elevation and elevation gain. The highest mountain in the UK is Ben Nevis at mere 1340m. Any race in the Rockies is brutally and vastly harder. Leadville 100 goes up to almost 4000m. Speaking of self-navigated races, there's Barkley marathons, which so far, no woman ever finished. SO therere's that.

Have you ever wondered what your purpose in life is? If all of human history will one day be destroyed, than does your legacy really matter? Does what your putting all of your effort into make a difference in the long run? The answer is yes it does but probably not for the reason you think. God is eternal and he created you as an eternal being and so your purpose is actually eternal. You were made for relationship. God thinks relationship is so important that he actually died on a cross to show how serious he is about wanting a relationship with you. You see God is love and the only way that you can love someone is by knowing the source. He gives you a new heart as you surrender your old heart to Him. So if you want to know what this is like I invite you to right now ask God for forgiveness. Turn away from your sinful lifestyle and give your heart to the one who cares. Jesus has changed my life and he wants to change yours too. If you have a bible I encourage you to read the gospel of John and ask God to change your heart. Have a blessed day!
