What makes Graham's interviews SO GREAT: 1.) He lets the guests talk. 2.) He changes his interview depending on their answers. 3.) He's open to whatever happens, even if his plans change. Keep it up, Graham. Love this stuff.

Yeah DMC is pretty awesome, read his book it's really good. His honesty and enthusiasm is just overwhelming. The video "Darryl "DMC" McDaniels won't stop rockin'" is also good.
"Feel free to elaborate" hahaha he really took his words!
After watching Ice-T & DMC's Wikipedia: Fact or Fiction? episodes, I realize rappers generally lead WAY more interesting lives than most of the rockstars on this.

Met DMC in high school. Very cool dude to hang out with
Run DMC and Public enemy were a really important movement. I listen to mostly death metal and thrash metal but i will say these guys spoke with so many different genres of fans. These guys had a message that was just as angry and pissed off as a slayer record. People who only look at it as hip hop or microphone crap needs to open their fucking minds up a bit. Run DMC are fucking legends in the same way metal bands are. Very important to music.

@@madwolfdrawing NWA, Wu Tang Clan, Ghostemane, XXXTentacion, Biggie Smalls, Tech N9ne, $uicide Boy$ those are just some of my favorite rappers/rap groups that metalheads with open minds should listen to, they're amazing! I'm not the biggest fan of Rap, but those names that I mentioned as well as a few others I love!
"You can elaborate if you like." It's safe to say he likes to elaborate.
wow didnt know about his depression, the book, nothing; dealt with that in depth myself... so much more respect to him than i already had! wow. salute DMC.
Always loved Run-DMC. Got into them just before I became fully into metal, and I still like to listen every so often. DMC seems like a great guy
Mike Patton would be awesome for one of these episodes...

Detriment Official Maybe, if he's stable enough.
One of as much a dignified interview as I'd ever seen. It felt as much as something an interested fan would like to hear, as well as having heard it from someone who feels as equally privileged to have shared it. Inspiring, upright, and dignified! Much-love!
He's so down-to-Earth and genuine! Class act!
get the beasties on fact or fiction.

Great interview. That Sarah McClackan song "Angel" is about musician Jimmy Melvoin dying of a heroin overdose. Powerful song..
In a sense they totally achieved the flashy name thing: Run-D.M.C. and Jam Master Jay
DMC is a king! Ive idolized these cats since i was a kid. And he gives some real stellar insightful interviews, the passion when he speaks is unparallelled.
This was really cool. I listened to Run DMC when I was in grade school 100 years ago. First tape I ever had. I still have the first record mostly memorized all these years later.
“Elaborate if you’d like”. He definitely did that, but he wasn’t boring. This 14 minute video flew by

I prefer Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Eric B. & Rakim, OutKast, The Pharcyde, Public Enemy, & N.W.A more. Run-DMC is dope though and undeniably influential to everyone after them.

They are the Kings of Rock
Good guy DMC!
When I was growing up I was such a RUN-DMC Fan. I was only one of 3 white people at their concert in KC in 1987. They are so talented and pioneers in the rap space.
Run DMC, the last actual hip hop/rap group I could actually stand. Thanks DMC!
what a great guy!
DMC RULES A LEGEND OF HIP HOP!! May he continue to do well and be well! Blessings sent brother!
This man is a big deal in my life. In this interview he displays why.. Thank you DMC.
Just stumbled up on this interview - aside from being a legend and DMC's awesome genuine vibe, the words about his bouts with depression are really important and insightful. Wow -thank goodness for people like him.
Big-ups to Sarah McLachlan for keeping DMC alive!
Without question, Run DMC changed the hip hop/rap world forever. They are the kings of rap. They will never, ever be a another Run DMC group in this life time. The rearrangement of Walk this way was a phenomenon.
RUN DMC Rules.. True Pioneer
"We r Run-DMC! The baddest fuckin group ever in the world of Hip~Hop!!" ~DMC!!!
Love you D❤ Mad respect R.I.P. JMJ
Wow, I could listen to his stories the whole time. What a legend! One of the striking mentions was:"... and this is the power of music" and I can totally relate and agree.
I was 12 when I first heard DMC and was into Dio and The Police Van Halen and Led Zeppelin . But as soon as I heard the first good rap I was interested. B Boys , DMC and Public Enemy seemed like music that was totally different than anything else I had heard but was so much more real than the new wave synth stuff and Madonna , which was what was on MTV and FM radio at that time.
devastating mic control
we need more Slipknot fact or fiction. I would love to see Chris or Jim on the show

As a child growing up in the 2000s I was so damn confused about what Run DMC was supposed to be and how it was related to Devil May Cry. Then I got into Aerosmith and I finally realized what they were thanks to Walk this Way.
Now that they've announced a new album, a System of a Down Fact or Fiction with Serj Tankian would be awesome.
One of my favorite MC's who influenced me
Awesome interview. Never was a fan, but I can appreciate Run DMC.

Lobo Diseña Locura Wu-Tang Clan is my favourite and they are pretty aggressive.
@Vaisin

Wu-Tang Clan is awesome, so are N.W.A., Mobb Deep and Eminem for aggressive music. My favourite rappers are Nas, Kendrick Lamar and Q-Tip. Q-Tip is more smooth as a rapper, Nas can be either very aggressive or smooth, Kendrick is at times aggressive, at times smooth at times just on his own, very difficult to classify Kendrick.

It really sucks that Darryl blew his voice out. Listening to his voice these days you would never know he’s the same rapper. You can thank Russell Simmons for that.
Interesting choice, considering the R&R Hall of Fame is dawning upon us.
DMC is really good at talking to cameras, look him up on the SDR show, sex drugs rock and roll on GaS digital network, hes done it like 2 or 3 times, an hour each time
Living Legend
Loved the interview!
One of the best episodes yet.
t sarah mclaughling story gives me goosbumps!! he is right, this song is indeed beautiful
Wow, he’s so fun to listen to
Damn, you're the man, DMC!
Wikipedia Fact or Fiction with Chuck D
Graham's always got great crust and other punk shirts on, it'd be cool to see more punk on the channel!
Run DMC defined my early years, Fat Boys got me into rap in 84 and next was King of Rock which I think was the same year. Anyway, mind blown by so much of this interview and, it took me 11+ minutes to realize he was wearing a Nirvana shirt!
Gotta love DMC.
Why Graham Hartmann always do that "blessing" pose in every single video?
That Nirvana shirt
Check out Jackyl feat. DMC, "Just Like a Negro". Then watch, "Slaves on Dope w/DMC, Like w Rhino" , DMC Ghetto Metal, and Jesse James Dupree of Jackyl with DMC, "Just as God Made Me"
hell yeah. Music knows no cultural bounds!
Be cool to see the original Danzig line up on this
What a fucking cool guy! Much respect.
Man I'm from LB and my sister in uncle went to that show ... they said it was crazy ... some dude had a boom box was playing reggae music and it kicked off .I heard rollin 20 crip kicked that off .
He's a legend of rap. Undisputable
Great interview
I hope you guys get carcass on here
I don't think so they only have one fight if you come from qeens early and brooklyn was hard back in the days
I was actually listening to run dmc and realized they had to have had rock influences. Then I watch this and he is wearing a nirvana shirt
Never seen that Nirvana t-shirt before
wow! i m a van halen fan.now run dmc!
Weird because the name itself changed the genre. The Outlaws, Junior MAFIA, ASAP Mob, Outkast, D12, Public Enemy. I just can't see Eminem and the Dirty Dozen.
Nice Aus-Rotten shirt Brother Graham!
