I am Muslim and an aspiring genetic counsellor student. I have witnessed firsthand situations of parents in prenatal counselling setting with these scenarios as part of my training. This is has given me a lot of clarity on the position of Islam this matter and InshaAllah will help in the future when I enter clinical practice. This has been very beneficial.Jazak Allah Khair. May Allah bless you for efforts.

May Allah forgive me but this was like a university lecture that I'd clock out of in the first five minutes. I will try to rewatch.

Try watching it around the 27 minute mark. I think summarize the first part and then get into the flow of the conversation. It really does clear up so many misconceptions that we have as a community.

Assalamualikum dear Sheikh Yasir qadhi. With due respect to other speakers, I find it very confusing when you ask other speaker and they reply. Their replies are not clear and straight forward. It just goes in circle. I found it difficult when you did same sessions about mortgages as well. In my humble opinion, your own QA sessions are more clear, useful and easy to understand. It would be nice if you please do not bring other speakers. Our sheikh Yasir Qadhi is knowledgeable enough to go solo!

@dam yo I saw the responses the moment you posted them, and I decided to ignore it -وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلۡجَٰهِلُونَ ‌قَالُواْ ‌سَلَٰمٗا- , but it came into my mind now that maybe someone will read this and think I agree with you, so I decided -for the sake of saving myself in front of my lord- to express my disagreement this time (without farther replies). first of all: when the family of Zaid RA (including the father) came to take him from the prophet PBUH and the prophet PBUH told them it's ok if he chooses you over me, and Zaid RA choose the prophet PBUH (before the message) and was asked by his father in front of ppl would you choose slavery over your father and he said YES, and for this, the prophet PBUH said in front of *the father* and *the family* and *Quraish* from now on Zaid is my son he inherits me and I inherit him. I don't think that anyone understood from this that the prophet is claiming that Zaid is his biological son. And you know -I hope- that the verse I quoted in the earlier reply has been revealed in the first place for Zaid, and from then on his name chanced from Zaid bin Mohammad back to Zaid bin Harithah. Second of all, Brother a sincere advice watch out whom you listen to and it's better to read from the books of the already dead scholars, -فإن الحي لا تؤمن فتنته- , the way you talk is just like liberal Islam the west is trying to force us into, saying that the Quran is cultural based on our preferences!!, Islam wouldn't have reached you if this was done, but this will never happen. «صحيح البخاري» (9/ 101): «لا يزال طائفة من أمتي ظاهرين، حتى يأتيهم أمر الله وهم ظاهرون» «صحيح مسلم» (3/ 1523): قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «لا تزال طائفة من أمتي ظاهرين على الحق، لا يضرهم من خذلهم، حتى يأتي أمر الله وهم كذلك»، Islam is the changer of societal norms while it is NOT subjected to change based society or culture, it may not look obvious from your perspective but it's better to reevaluate your positions. Many people come to Islam just because its the only religion that has objective morals that don't bow down to trends, think of the people that may become Muslims but because of us they won't, we are to be resurrected and asked.
