For athletes, the objective of Javelin Throw is to throw a spear-like structure, technically called javelin with their bare hands with a maximum force so that it will land within a prescribed marking area.
The game is played in both men’s and women’s categories.
The thrower with the single best distance wins.
If there is a tie, the second-best throw by each of the two throwers determines the winner.
Referees measure a throw's distance from the point of the javelin that is closest to the arc or throw line.

After watching Olympic, my interest is increasing to learn javelin throw.
Rule 5 says that the Thrower shouldn't turn back until the Javelin lands but Neeraj did that couple of times. Just wanted to understand the logic behind this rule as it wasn't called out during the Olympics Final.

the commentator mentioned that you're not supposed to turn your back like neeraj did. the call entirely depends on the referee, he said if the official were stricter they would have given him a warning.

@@yuvrajmishra9709 In the finals, the bottom four gets eliminated after the first three trials and the remaining get to try their luck for three more trials. The winner is decided taking into account the best of the six trials in the final round.

Remove all the rules pertaining to line the only rule should be javelin should be thrown behind the line, there was no rules during war or hunting
If rule no. 5 is correct... Then Neeraj should have disqualified..... But i think they have removed this rule.
