Sundowns was just another PSL big team before Pitso took over and he transformed it and Rulani took over and kept the consistency… Building something is much more easier than keeping it functional and working while also improving it. It's not hate, part of his mandate was to win league, 2 domestic cups and champions league. Upon review, he only won league

I personally attribute Bafana Bafana's recent outstanding performance to the well organized Sundowns conditions under Rulani's supervision. Sundowns have set a higher standard and expectations are so much, though Rulani have performed well among many coaches in the PSL is sub-standard to the predetermined objectives and goals they had for Sundowns. I don't see him living the team though, they better demote him and opt for Manqoba for the next 3 years. After all is the heat that brings the best in Diamond or other precious metals, challenges may lead to better destinations 'growth'. Big up Rulani ❤🙏. As a Pirates fan, I will miss him, he had strong attachment to the game and invest employs his full energy and emotions 💯🙏.

To whom much is given much is expected and that’s the most unfortunate part. I personally think his biggest mistake was prematurely taking the head coaching gong and Sundowns is a complex institution with highly political hierarchy. One of the finest coaches in African football currently but few things played a huge role in his sacking. His public spats with TS Galaxy gaffer and his overall conduct in managing media. In some instances being too honest for the club’s liking and this needs high levels of EQ (Emotional Quotient).

Only time will tell if this was the right decision by the club. from my view, seems like the club is willing to sacrifice its identity for glory. If you go for a European coach, i am not sure if he will get the same results or over. They won 5 league titles in a row before he took over, so winning the league is the bare minimum there at chloorkop. With that perspective, and all the spending and monopolizing of top talent he massively underachieved. Great coach, he come back stronger. Hopefully he bags another high spending club cause hit track record of nurturing talent is an unknown entity at the moment.

RM managed to break lots of PSL records in short space of time he was the gead coach Downs. Downs supporters behave like they started supporting the club yesterday. How many times dod the club big coaches and big stars but achived nothing? Please go and check the squad they had between 2009 & 2013 players and coaches they had there. Also check what they achieved. Come in guys....

Coach Rhulani didn't meet expectations for Sundowns but he was successful. Sundowns is now on a different level as a club and Rhulani contributed a lot. They now need a very good international coach maybe one that has coached in the highest leagues and you will see Sundowns winning the champions league

Sundowns making a mistake Rhulani is developing coach pure breed of pitso and he will become great also i think his leavinf because sundowns is letting go of key players

There was a time when guardiola had to leave Barcelona. He was too young by then to manage big names. Barcelona never recovered. Look at Pep now

Sporting director reports directly to the Chairman, he dismantled the trio coaches for a reason. It was working but remember the set targets should be met. Cockiness doesn’t help. He is a good coach he needs to learn few things

We can only be able to pass a verdict if we have a glance at Rhulani's KPIs and expectations for the season. TO Karabo's point, may be the CAF league loss and the loss of local cups were part of.. We can't speak about AFL! Secondly Sundowns has neen winning the league and a few cups every season..and have also done a CAF Champions league Semi Final..so Rhulani realy brought no change!

Zyakhala at Downs, Rhulani thought he was a good couch in Mzansi over some of PSL couches. He was winning games or League because of money power by Motsepe family with quality players. Any couch can do well at Downs, but who ever takes over is in big trouble, the Buccaneers are building Burlin Walls of defenders, midfielders and strongest forwards that will compete in Africa. 😂 Pirates are inconsistent and riddled with too many weaknesses to pose a threat over a prolonged period. They are the knockout kings as they playing style is suited for that.

From all angles, from where I stand - Mokoena did a sterling job. Yes, I get the reason for his departure - given, as commented here...the level , quality and value of the personnel the club supplied him with. Yet I still feel that it's a tad unrealistic to expect him to win every game...but I also think that it speaks to losing the ones SPECIFIED as MUST-WINS by his employer. If indeed true - then Sundowns management may just be at a level most or all our clubs could and SHOULD aspire to. One of much difference from the likes of Chiefs and other teams long considered the 'bigger' outfits of our league. I know I will rub a LOT of Chiefs fans the wrong way (and even though I'm one of them, there's no way to prove that here...so I will count on people to have a healthy debate - one devoid of zealotry and other plain-out fan behaviour). All things said - I DO feel that Sundowns stood a better chance to rule our domestic league...for some more time. Not discounting Pirates' amazing 'resurgence' of late...and they might even stand a fair chance at the league now.

Rulani took over midday season before the one that just ended which he still had Manqoba and Khompela as assistants , then his first leg of the Sea to be factual he used the core team that was built by him alongside Manqoba and Khompela throughout the rest of the first part of the season then second part of the season he changed to his own team dropping Modiba, Maema , Sirino ,Zwane and Morena for Nku, Lorch etc so the failure came second part of the season

English premiership there 6 or more clubs that can match or better the resources of Man City. Here in South Africa, Sundowns has proved to be way financially off than its closest competitors which is Chiefs and Pirates who have been struggling to win the league for a decade now. The mandate for him was simple, win the league and Champions League. I believe Sundowns should have had 3 stars by now.

Competition is about meeting the targets and objectives of the cluds. European coaches are living at that space. Real madrid, Barca, PSG, Ahly, Wydad, Esperance and the rest of Africa. Rhulani failed to meet his targets as per the contract. Whoever thinks he is a good coach is high. He is unprofessional as well. The manner he dealt with TS Galaxy was childish. He forced Mudau to play in the final because of his childness.
