I realize you are new but come on,a clip? It’s a MAGAZINE! Shooting off a barrel,2 shot groups,this video tested you more than the firearm.
Good stuff on starting the channel. Definitely bit off a tough video for your first gun video. Would recommend doing overviews of each gun first. Also, sound a bit less scripted. =). Zoom in/crop in a bit more, most of the shots are way too wide.
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing!
Why was the camera focused on you or the target jolting after every shot? For target camera, just set it out there on a tripod. Unless you are horrible, you will not hit the camera. =)
I have been experimenting with some load development in 6.5 CM. I would choose the ruger. I like the idea of a shorter barreled 6.5 creedmoor, for most hunting scenarios, you will have plenty of velocity to get the job done. I would prioritize the lighter weight and shorter barrel. Also if a silencer is added, less overall length=better balance. Mostly just my opinion, though.

Great points, thank you!
The CVA BY FAR
Seeing that it takes at least a 20 to 24 inch barrel to get that full powder burn out the 6.5 projectile I would take the CVA all day, I’ve seen a lot of good reviews on the CVA, myself I’ll stick with Bergara Wilderness 6.5 creedmoor it shoots lights out with most grain weights

I'm sure you know, but the CVA barrel is made by Bergara. Definitely good quality!

@@lyloak True but they’re the left over barrels Lol 😂

@@sidbates3423who told you that? I really dont believe that to be the case 😅 the cascade rifles shoot fantastic. From the groups ive seen every bit as good as the Bergara B14 wilderness rifles. The CVA cascade is a great budget rifle, what I think it lacks is the flexibility of the Bergara actions. The Bergara rifles are Remington 700 compatible so they have great aftermarket support while the cascade has very little aftermarket support.
Is the barrel profile the same on both Gens or is it thicker on the Gen 2?

@RS-lw1hz great question, I don't own a Gen 1 so I'm not sure.

@@lyloak what's the one on your Gen 2? Gen 1 was around 0.6.
Only 2 shot groups from a not ideal rest? Not sure I’d trust your results.

I'm testing for real life hunting scenarios, I've yet to be able to haul around a shooting bench through the mountains. My results are for me and those curious on real life scenarios. I'd love to see your results and if they are different.

@@lyloak before you start testing for “real life” accuracy you need to know what your rifle is capable of. For that you should shoot at least a few 3 shot groups ( 5 shots is better) from a solid rest.

@@kevinkerr2847 I just posted a new video testing 6 different ammo selections for the Ruger. Very capable rifle with several ammo types, check it out
The Gen 2 . Is it the ranch model?
@lyloak

Yes, correct, this is the ranch model which has a shorter barrel.
Neither are available in #Lefthand
I don't know ... Personally I use the precision hunter. You should consider it .
