    Dominant in the six nations for a good few years, 2002 autumn internationals swept the southern giants, finally a grand slam beat New Zealand away beat Australia away and then won every game in a tournament that was held in Australia. Absolutely incredible

    And to think that after the next match that was the final, he didn't play for England for another 3 years due to injuries, easily could have been the undisputed greatest play of all time, still is in my book though.

    Most underrated was Dawson, loved every player in this team but Dawson brought something every time England played. Wish we had a scrum half like him now.

    Formidable english team (from memory of French). The English managed towards around the 90 s- 2000, to reverse the balance of power against France which dominated this duel in the 70 s and 80 s.

    @@LockedDownSpectator That game is a close second but this game is just a complete forwards performance and a virtuoso kicking display. Just goes to show that no matter how dominant england are in a semi, this current team still isn't as immortal as the one team that won it in 2003.

    Gosh, that was boring. In these times, rugby was played in a catenaccio football style: big defense, wait for the penalties. England was lucky to have Wilkinson to transform the offenses

    Clueless. The weather was atrocious that day. Terrible conditions for quick passing rugby. The sensible way to play was to get the 3 points whenever possible.

    I think our pack mullering the french pack for 80 mins was the deciding factor that gave oppurtunities for Wilko to score.

    if they reduced the number of points you got for kicking, especially penalties, then you would get more foul play. If you don't commit a foul then you could concede 7 so commit the foul and it's only 3. If that were reduced there would be no deterrent whatsoever to illegally stopping play. If you want lots of tries then watch sevens not test match rugby.

    5 penalties and 3 drop goals- sometimes it's more important to take what's on offer. If England had taken that approach vs Wales then who knows....
