Contepomi kicking a drop goal in the 79th minute when Stade Francais needed a try and conversion for a win was a classic though I will never forget his fist shake when he thinks he has won it

It happens in the heat of the moment! I once elbow dropped someone, full-on people's elbow style, after the whistle had gone, for no reason what so ever. I got off lightly as it was U15s, I just had to apologise after explaining that I wasn't really sure why I did that....

I seem to remember an England player forgetting to ground the ball in goal and then throwing a huge forward pass in the World Cup final against the Aussies.

If you are talking about the most recent game against SA, the bounce of the ball was what made that pass look worse than it was. Had the bounce gone the other way, it would've likely resulted in a try to the ABs, and we wouldn't even be talking about it. Definitely not a "brain fade" type of play - luck just wasn't with them on that one.
@whitefire06
5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the bounce was unlucky but I don't think they would've gone the 80+ metres in that movement. There were 3 or 4 Springboks in the vicinity so I still think the throw in was a silly option from both Ioane (if he did call for the quick throw) and Jordie.
@lamam9058

muntymunt It’s common practice to call for the ball, it’s gives the opposition false hope and usually makes them run more for no reason. Jordy should have know not the throw such a risky pass, have you not seen in games that the players in Jordys position usually dummy a pass in field but never actually carry out a dumb pass like that? Pretty common tactic
Kind of funny how Ben Botica left Quins to join Montpellier after that challenge cup final. I didn’t find it funny at the time though, being a Quins fan

When the ball crosses the line you can reset gameplay but it didn't so therefore the grounded ball doesn't reset. So it's a scrum.

Jak Daxter No, they are not.
I have always, tenaciously, believed that rugby was one of the few sports where respect and sporting ethics (and morals) dominated, were a fixed, inalienable point. After seeing several, too many videos of meetings dominated by impropriety, by violence, by the desire to perform illegal acts, and then pretend not to have committed abuses, or to cry on slaughtered opponents and half-dead ground, I have to change my mind. You are like, if not worse, of the other athletes of other sports. You have as unique (fragile) excuse that it is a contact sport, therefore very physical. I wonder if these attitudes are favored by coaches, sports clubs, the complicit silence of the national and non-national Rugby Federations. A real disappointment for me.
Why with the music?
