I love the commentator when Quade is messing around behind his tryline: "Now what's he gonna do, oh dont tell me, hold on, hold on, what's gonna happen now?"

I get the impression James O'Connor and Quade Cooper had the maturity of 15 years olds whenever they were together

Love how from 7:06 to 7:36 it unexpectedly just becomes a courtney lawes tribute, wouldn't want to be a fly half against him.

What an unreal compilation!! People seem to be forgetting the title of the video haha, take the jokes when they're there. But this is really funny and informative - would love to see reactions to this from people who want to learn more about the different positions.

Quade Cooper was the best 5/8 in the world... for maybe a total of 3-4 hours in his career. Every other moment he was a liability.

Your exaggerating in a needlessly unkind manner, Quade was a fly-half who could do things no other fly-half in World Rugby could do. Playing an instinctive creative game involves taking risks and sometimes they don't pan out. But othertimes they produce moments that are still remarked at over a decade later and which typify why we love the game. Nevermind Quade being a Super Rugby and Tri Nations winner aswell.

@@pdaddy4898 yeah as a NZ'er I was truly worried about Aus going into the 2011 RWC. They were a really scary good team with Digby, Cooper, JOC, KB. They kinda fell apart during the WC but prior to that they were so exciting to watch.

@@pdaddy4898 his problem that made him a liability despite his brilliance was that he really wasn’t much of a team player in terms of how he created chances. He’d tend to play more towards himself than towards the rest of the team.

I remember my dad telling me the story about how one Currie Cup final devolved into Naas Botha and can’t remember his name spent the entire game just kicking for posts in the Late 70s or 80s, can’t remember, all I know is it became a pissing contest of who could kick further

Phil Bennett side-stepping All-Blacks in his own 22 to start off the Edwards try for the Barbarians in 73 could very happily be in here, I think. And didn't Wales actually pick 3 or 4 fly-halves in their test side in 1987-ish?

So i asked a friend who is a long time supporter of Stade Français, Plisson's club at the time, and he told me that this tackle seems to have traumatised him. He didnt want to play for France again after that and started playing less confidently even at club level. He probably never was a world class 10 but still that's a sad thing for a very liked club player

UK Fly halves tend to be stoic game management players because they play on soft grounds in the winter, where wet greasy balls are the norm and handling mistakes are common. Even teh flashy UK players are great passers rather than runners. As for Goode, probably the mosty over rated player in history.
