@GypsyTheft Yes, that's his mom, and she did pass in January 2010. Her name was Kate McGarrigle, and she was a prominent folk singer in the '70's, and quite a cool lady. =)

I know he's in his 30s and not single, but I would totally marry him.

I feel dumb for asking but who is the lady with Rufus? Is she his mom? Did she pass?

To answer your questions: Yes, she is is mom, and yes, she died from cancer in 2010.

I don't know, he's all into lederhosen so it could be that he loves them :D
