They never close these roads off water in the Engine means a rebuild or new this Ford claims hundreds of cars amazing how the public just watch knowing what's going to happen they let them drive in & after ask if they need towing who is charging for this, they all start giving advise why not shout & tell them it's to deep

But you've also got to question the stupidity of the onlookers who don't seem to be discouraging the drivers from attempting to cross, or the local authorities who aren't closing off a road that's clearly impassable to the majority of vehicles.

are you all seriously demonising the onlookers? theres nothing more than stupid people driving through something they shouldnt, not knowing the limitations of their own vehicles. when a lorry goes under a bridge that theyre too tall for, ripping their roof off. do you blame the onlookers, the council or the person driving the vehicle? this ford for the most part is very passable in any average car, after heavy rain its obviously going to be deeper. hence why there are water markers on the bridge so drivers know the depth, before they enter. its only the stupidity of people not thinking, or not knowing how to drive properly.

tbf the advice not to stop is spot on once youve commited that far to going through the ford, because the moment you stop forward momentum, the bow wave just rolls back, swamps the air intake & engine and its game over, and you cant reverse if the exhaust is under water already. the moment the car starts to float its open the doors time, they wont seal properly anyway so you have to accept getting wet at that stage and you might just make it through.

Blue defender driver is likely a friend of all the people who stand around taking videos but they won’t reveal that. It would go against their wickerman style community code of laughing at peoples misfortune destroying their cars when they could have kindly warned them instead and saved them thousands during a cost of living crisis. Once the car is stranded they probably call their mate in the blue defender to tow them out “well it’s a lot cheaper than the AA if you pay me in cash mate” for each broken car to drum up some business and get a kickback. I wonder if the insurance actually pays the owners when they deliberately destroy their cars like this.
People are so cruel. That Kia driver was clearly having second thoughts and the jeep behind him pressured him into moving forward as did the people egging him on. And not one person suggested telling the taxi driver to back off. That's his livelihood. Must have that car crash footage for likes I suppose. What absolute tw@ts.

@@matthewsmith2787 Sure, a person committing suicide is responsible for his or her death but it doesn't take much to say don't do it. In fact it is quite the reverse here. The people are cheering them on knowing full well what the consequences are. Zero empathy or decency.
Why dont you basicly warn these people instead of filming them hoping they ruin their car?

I'm sure the police would love to see the clip with blue Defender. Intimidating the Kia to go through and then dangerous driving in the ford. Pretty sure the Kia would have made it too if it didn't get pushed by the water from the Defender.

@@krashd most people associate a snorkel with the fully sealed and safe for water crossings raised air intake while calling it a raised air intake(as Toyota etc does call their intakes from the factory) means it’s there just to keep the air clean, especially with something like an additional cyclone cleaner on top.
