To comment below about the color of the flute, it is GOLD, and his playing is equally GOLD! Fabulous, just fabulous, the tone, expression and dynamics are Great. His articulation is Superb! This man is one of the very best.

His playing is magnificent. He moves around quite a large amount more than the average flute player.

I just love his tone and the pinpoint beauty of upper register. I bet he could play C4 at pp. His articulations are so clean. BRILLIANT!

Hearing this I’m sorry I gave up playing the flute after 4 years. It’s quite a hard instrument to master and also hard to practice in an apartment without disturbing the neighbours. Brilliant execution!

I could only dream of being able to play this piece so eloquently. I’ll never forget when I first heard this song played by my instructor at age 12. The name of the song stuck in my head forever. 17 years later I can come to KZread to enjoy it. How I dreamed to be able to play with such talent. I was well on my way until arthritis began to set into my fingers and I had to give up my passion for music. This song brings me to tears as my heart fills with both joy and sorrow.

Almost everyone (who got proper education) is capable of making better tone than galway. In my school an avarage 6th grade student has better tone, wider variety of tone color...

very good sound of this artist, attacks and fine phrasing, it made me remember my teacher who told me not to dance while you play, it really looks bad and distracts the audience from the true value of virtuosity and music ,,, besides I don't His body movements seem natural, now I have to take off my hat applauding his fingering and tongue technique ,,, bravo bravo, bravo ,,,,a fine artist, he does not need to dance when he plays, he needs to love music and smile a little, it is communication with the public believe me it does not change anything that you dance or not, it just distracts, or someone is thinking about the harmony, or listening to the piano , the fact of having absolute hearing, or being a born musician, bravo, look at Pahud, take his position that is not presumption but favors that position the emission and the scenic presence and compare him with this great artist, the virtuoso of the video would seem a clown, we all would like to have that very fine technique, but the subtlety is in making it enjoy the public,

What makes you think it's a Muramatsu? Judging by the key design, it most definitely is not.

If a german is using nagahara,what about germany own hammig 22k gold flute?No famous flutist using it?

I have heard of "Dramatic Sopranos", but a Dramatic Flutist? Okay dude! , I have been playing this version since 7th grade and its like okay and all but you took sort cuts especially in the ending the whole bottom line of double tonguing should stay exactly on the bottom... great performance anyhow.

Is the guy on the piano getting lessons or something?! Lol. Meanwhile fluteguy belts out 50 Billion notes without a single page of sheet music! Had to have been born with a flute in his hand to get this good!

Everything is amazing except the slight harshness of the articulation.

really above his caliber to perform on a stage like this - you want MUCH better - listen to Jean Pierre Rampal - now he was effortless - this guy is trying way too hard - and yes i can comment like this - have been playing flute (studied in college and afterwards) for 46 years - there is a marked difference in their playing if you listen closely enough

He is actually one of the best flute players ever, and also an amazing teacher. He has formed some of the best flutists that you hear from now a days. Until you can actually play like him you should not criticize him.
