Short story: If you invent something really awesome, don't tell anybody. Especially the government.... Awesome story, thanks. 4/28/2021
Rudolf the red nosed Diesel, he had himself a good idea, and if you ever saw it, you would even say it pulls...
Great! Thanks for sharing! I just have one question about your comparison Steam Vs Diesel: At 4'27'' you mentioned: "Normal steam engines waste 90% of the energy produced by their coal furnaces" ... (Which is correct, meaning 10% efficiency). At 4'30'': "..Diesel Engine would waste only 25% of the fuel used to power them" ... (meaning 75% efficiency?). Diesel's project from 1897 achieved 26.2% efficiency. So I believe you meant "Diesel engines would waste only 75% of the fuel used to power them".
Great watch! Thanks for the awesome content

Diesel was building a factory in England at a site on the outskirts of Ipswich. Is this covered in another video?
Like others with a world changing idea, he was probably murdered because of greed. Sad. His legacy is one of the biggest known to man.

Nah, suicide because his engine was a lie and didn't actually work compared to Herbert Akroyd Stewart's heavy oil engine of the same period that didn't require blown hot air in order to run.
