I think one of the things they didnt show was how rudeus wasnt about to just roll over and take punishment for another misunderstanding. If i remember right, he had wrapped his feet in earth magic to keep gorilla girl from pulling him away, and fitz only remembered to step in when she realized someone was about to get hurt.

Well he kinda was. When he was surrendered and they began to hurl insults at him, he began to draw comparisons to his previous life, as well as some of the 'bad things or rather 'misunderstandings' that has happened up to that point, causing him to begin to break down mentally, to the point where his legs began to tremble and he was on the verge of tears. When the * can't remember her name * Gorilla girl tried to pull him away to be 'interrogated' he remembered what happened in his last life where he was put up on the cross naked, and refused to be taken anywhere and allow that to happen to himself ever again, and so he used earth magic on his feet to prevent him self from being moved. Slyphy noticed all of this *him trembling as well as noticing he's breaking down* and rushes to help him, on a side note that is the first time all the girls ever heard silent fitz speak. And as slyphy asks later in the episode, if he truly wanted he could of escaped that situation without hurting anyone, but alas he was breaking down mentally and had alreadly given up the moment he was surrounded and was being insulted.@@neotagatg3238

Honestly the sylphys vs rudy battle in the novels were much more badassly described than what the anime showed.

@@RizalBoonThis entire arc is more focused on the characters and world building so I can see why the anime producers didn't focus much on the fight but most of the fights this arc are very important from here on out so I hope they actually try very hard for them, especially because, as you said, there aren't many of them.

The anime left out how Rudeus was using earth magic to keep himself in place during the panty incident and how Sylphie was the only one who noticed this.

The anime also left out Fitz saying/implying (it's been a while, I can't remember which) that Rudeus could've sent them all to the infirmary (hence Fitz's earlier line: "Or would everyone here prefer a trip to the infirmary")

I don't think left out is the right word since the scene was definitely there but anime change it and make Rudues fall flat.

In the anime it looks like he missed with a scatter shot aimed to kill The books say he shoots one and decides to miss because he realizes its a healing zone not resurrection zone so he tries to miss and cuts fitz cheek

@@sebastiangruenfeld141no such thing as a resurrection zone, ops wording was a bit off. What he meant is that although a healing circle could heal injuries, it would not heal any fatal hits like those of the head or heart reason being it would not be able to heal the person quick enough

@Matixmer it was not malicious he was taking fitz that serious and then noticed fitz was already defeated by the disturb magic and pulled back missing but still scared fitz stiff with shock he was soo powerful

I think the show is fine as is plus it's better they leave stuff out because it moves it along quicker and gives me great videos from you to listen to LoL. Always love the cut content for anime that I watch every season and your voice is kinda soothing. I listen podcast style normally

@@Bustaperizm Definitely do that - I picked up a couple volumes myself. The source material selling well makes it more likely for more seasons, though I would suggest only buying the volumes covering up to where the anime currently is (and finding downloads if you want to read ahead).

Its always a pleasure to catch these right when they come out. The videos are always so well made. Keep up the good work!

This episode felt magical beyond the fact that it took place in Ranoa's University of Magic. This anime was highly praised for its intros, but this time I was charmed by the outro. The illustration of Fitz/Sylphie developing feelings for Rudeus again was some of the best storytelling I have ever seen. This season is only 5 episodes and its some of the best anime I've seen in a while. I look forward to the next episodes regardless of filler.

except for the bit that cliff said about rudys ween, I can understand why they cut what they cut. Its clear the focus of the adaptation is Rudy himself, so they cut the most extraneous world building and side developments when necessary, especially if its something that comes back as they will have time to cover later, like elinalise's curse

This most recent episode of Mushoku Tensei perhaps had me smiling more then any other. While, Zanoba? Zenoba? however its spelled, taking a rock to the face would have been fun to see the rest of the episode was perfectly paced imo. Still dunno how I feel about having a "proper" anime opening/closing for it, but if it would make sense for any arc it would be this one. While the Hierarchy would have been nice to explain I feel it could have came across a bit ham fisted where they can easily show aspects of it as the season goes.

They cut content and cut the opportunity to introduce that cut content which is a double loss for fans.

Definitely love the cut content. I think they've done well picking what to show in the anime but it's also interesting to hear the extra parts. I think the most interesting cut part for season 2 is when Sera came to talk with Elise. I didn't think she'd give Rudy any thought anymore but to think she'd actually learn the truth and bear the pain that they cared for each other for a moment was a tragic beauty.

I realized miss silent was likely not Fitz but with the information from you that seems confirmed. Beyond that my current theory is now that miss silent is Orsted's protege who is possibly from Japan just like Rudy. Also the suggestions she has been giving to the school may just be ideas that she brought from her life back in her old world.

I'm an anime only but I effin knew it was Nanahoshi from the beginning. Ever since she appeared in season one I've been intrigued about her. So far she's basically the most cryptic and mysterious character and I've been waiting for her. When I saw her appear in the opening for this episode I was like "HELL YEAH, NANAHOSHI" And then when Zanoba mentioned 'ms. silent' Because she was shown studying and whatnot in the opening I knew it was her instantly. I've rewatched this episode like five times already. Might become my second favorite anime one day. But my favorite will always be Re:Zero.

At 8:04 they talk about in the later books because there was a part when some species were in heat due to their different cycles that the school had given up with the rules they did have to accommodate all types of students.
