Rubies Deluxe Boba Fett helmet to Custom Mandalorian - "The Vigilante"

In this video I take the Rubies Deluxe Boba and disassemble, replace the range finder stalk, replace the visor, fill the dent and surface defects, paint with chipping effect, and weather it up. Hopefully I address all your questions but if not, comment it! This is the way.

I’ve found a much easier way to remove the visor; simply score the outer edge of the “glass” with a hobby knife. Then tap the edges of the visor with a blunt object, like a small hammer or the bottom end of your knife. Then just sand down the remaining shards and you’re good to go

I can't read every comment but I'm sure someone has chummed in and told you that is not actual Bondo product that you need but Bondo is a company name. That is a plastic filler for small imperfections and it may work for you actually in this but regular Bondo is one part filler one part hardener and we'll get hot as it's a chemical process this is used for feeling bigger areas like the dent in the helmet and dries a lot faster than the stuff you're using there. overall overall though looks really good and I like the voice over a lot!

Currently trying to model a replacement for the piece that connects the right ear to the helmet. Needless to say, I have hit a roadblock until i can find a solution. Do you think a pre-modeled version of the entire rangefinder assembly would fit? It seems like a better option considering their is no way to get a actual spare.

They are really hard to find at the moment- I think certain events (spoilers) in The Mandalorian season 2 may have skyrocketed demand. I saw one on eBay but as an auction you never know where that price will end up. I’d say they’ll be back soon though - they’d be idiots not to ramp up production with the current popularity
