Parvathy Thiruvothu is an Indian actress prominently known for her work in Malayalam language films. She has also acted in Hindi, Tamil and her notable accomplishments include receiving a National Film Award, four Filmfare Awards South, two Kerala State Film Awards and one Kerala Film Critics Association Award.
Thiruvothu debuted her acting career with the Malayalam film Out of Syllabus in 2006. Her second venture, Rosshan Andrrews' Notebook, won media attention due to its theme on teenage pregnancy. Her performance in the Tamil romantic drama Poo (2008) earned her the Filmfare Awards South for Best Actress Tamil. Throughout the next decade, she received widespread recognition for her roles in various Malayalam movies including Bangalore Days (2014) earning her a Filmfare Awards South, Ennu Ninte Moideen (2015) receiving the Kerala State Film Awards for the Best Actress and Charlie (2015) earning a Filmfare Awards South for Best Actress Malayalam.
Her success continued with her leading roles in Take Off (2017), which earned her the IFFI Best Actress Award, National Film Award - Special Mention, and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress. She then appeared in works such as Uyare, Virus (both 2019), and Puzhu (2022). In 2017 she also acted in the Hindi Movie Qarib Qarib Single with Irrfan Khan. The movie was direxcted by Tanuja Chandra.
In 2023 she was seen in the Telugu Web Series Dhootha with Naga Chaitanya and in the movie Kadak Singh with Pankaj Tripathi. In 2024 she stars in Thangalaan is a much anticipated Tamil movie directed by Pa. Ranjith with the lead character played by Vikram.
In this three-part series Parvathy opens up about various aspects of her work and personal life. In the first part of the series she talks primarily about the characters she has played in the recent past and her character in Pa Ranjith`s Thangalaan. She talks about her acting process and how she learns and experiments with various styles of acting to get into the character. She talks about her various co-stars and how they have influenced her. Her passion for reading and travel and why it is so important to her.
In Part 2 and part 3 we do deeper into the personal side of Parvathy. We try to delve into the choices that she has made to voice concerns about the film industry and why she has made these choices. She talks about her inner journey and the times she had completely struggled with mental health issues.

This is literally the most awaited interview for me. Ever since Dhanya Varma started this chat show, the only person I have waited to see interviewed was Parvathy Thiruvoth. I think she’s single handedly the only actor in Malayalam film industry who has some broad views which are genuine and very interesting. Her art speaks for itself and no trolling could eventually bring her down.

Every time I hear her speak, I feel a surge of new energy and positivity within me. I can vividly remember one of her interviews on Club FM with Shan, it completely fascinated me like nothing else. At that time, I was only 16 or 17 years old, and her words broke down all my narrow visions and perceptions in just one interview. I have always been a huge fan of hers, and she continues to inspire and uplift me with her words and actions.
