The Intel Arc gpu or Intel GPUs are infact so new, that they haven't had the time to optimise drivers to all DX11 games. With DX12 games, it is much much easier and to be fair AMD and Nvidia have had decades to sort their drivers out and optimise them as new games came out.

I use dxvk for dx9-11 titles that makes it thump past Nvidia's stuff. There dx9-11 implementation is pretty bad in some spots. They run DX11 through DX12. Whereas DXVK run DX9-11 through Intel's more mature Vulkan driver.

I think the Intel ARC 770 is better than the RTX 4060. Why? Because the textures are much more detailed. It seems to be designed for games to be released in the near future. For older games, I think it's not fully optimized yet.

Would you recommend the A770 for streaming?

whilst its tempting please buy an rtx or amd card instead of intel's it still has to go through a lot more updates, its got so many compatibility issues, there are just better cards for the price, maybe intel s next card a790 might be worth it as they could fix any mistakes made in the past

The A770 is quite solid for streaming since it has dual encoder engines, so you can record and stream to multiple platforms without impacting game performance much. Having multiple encoder engines will become very important with platforms like Twitch moving to client-side encoding. It also supports AV1 encoding, which provides better quality at lower bit rates. To get multiple encoder engines from Nvidia, you have to go 4070TI or higher, which is way more expensive, albeit that's also a much more powerful card.

The shared memory usage largely depends on how the game or application is programmed, the resources it requires, and how efficiently it manages memory and yeah ik that the size of the VRAM itself usually doesn't directly dictate the amount of shared memory used but there might be cases where a GPU with more VRAM might consume slightly more shared memory due to the way it manages resources. For example, first, buffering and caching, so the GPU might use system memory for additional buffering or caching when the VRAM is full or close to capacity. A GPU with more VRAM might be more inclined to buffer or cache additional data, utilizing more shared memory. Second texture compression and rendering techniques bcs some GPU might use shared memory for compression algorithms or additional rendering techniques, which could marginally increase shared memory usage. This isn't solely tied to VRAM size but rather to specific GPU architectures or optimization techniques used by the manufacturer. Third driver ofc or system level optimizations so the differences in drivers or how the GPU allocates memory resources might affect shared memory usage. Newer models or more advanced drivers migght use shared memory differently, and you know that NVIDIA and Intel have a different driver base... Generally It has a lot of reasons but most likely those are one of them.

Well first guess would be the a770 yses gddr6 while the 4060 uses gddr6x whixh is slightly more efficient amd also is still using GDDR6

Od Intela sam malo vise ocekivao. Jer nekako ima specifikacije koje na papiru bi je smestile bas za 1440p gaming, 16gb vram, 256 bit memorijska magistrala, 16x pcie 4.0 linija... sve sto nema 4060 a opet ona bude bolja u nekim igrama od a770... ajde i cena pa da se i ne ocekuje Bog zna sta, ali onda zasto da ima 16gb vram kad ima nivo performansi od 8gb graficke? A i da, driveri, siguran sam da ima jos dosta prostora za unapredjenje, kao na primer za GTA 5, igra vec omatorila toliko da se i na integrisanim grafikama to tera

Uf imam objasnjenje za tih 16gb ali nemam bas toliko vremena da detaljisem, uglavnom vram je vram znaci pustis vram gledas sve ostalo jer vram ti je storage samo, e sad zamisli da je rtx 4060 8gb, zamisli kao cijeli pc koji ima i9 10900 i 64gb radne memorije odnosno rama i 2tb nvme, e arc a770 ti je bukvalno isti i9 10900 samo sa 128gb radne memorija i 1tb nvme znaci iste performance zbog chipa odnosno procesora. Tako i graficka, specifikacijski gledani a770 teoretske prejake ima ali teoretski ostaju teoretski i u tom slucaju gledas ostalo sto nije teoretsko.

amigo acho q tem algo de muito errado com sua RTX 4060, ela está com desempenho muito abaixo do normal em cyberpunk, nunca tive uma queda na vida abaixo dos 63fps sem o raytracing ativado na minha RTX 4060

Depends which settings you used, which resolution. Practically it's not possible to get more frames since my gpu is fully used. I am sure you missed something since i am testing it always twice on 2 different configurations.

@@edwardbenchmarks Friend, I'm clearly stating that your card has a problem, in case it wasn't clear, I use the same card in the same settings that you put in, in quadHD and I say again, I don't suffer crashes like yours, it would be good to check your components, or even its source.

@@trugileonardo What do you mean by 'crashes'? The games in the video aren't crashing. Are you referring to dropping frames, or somethings lost in translation? It's entirely strange that there's a better performance difference because I consistently test it on two different configurations. Even with another brand, I still get the same framerate as with the ASUS Dual and MSI Ventus X2. Maybe you used a different version of the game, or I'm unsure. I don't know what to check since I've already checked both configurations before and after testing them twice. The lanes are fully read, just like the revision. The GPU is fully utilized, and the core clock and memory are functioning normally. Resizable BAR is enabled, so I'm unsure why this is happening but I still think that you missed something, a lot of people said the same thing for my other videos but at the end we found they didnt pay attention to details a showed in the video so they didnt use actually the same settings, thats why i am saying that you missed something. I am open to suggestions.

@@trugileonardo I seriously doubt that you work as you claim in an "MSI own project," considering I have friends from MSI, and I'm aware that company regulations restrict them from publicly boasting about such things. However, regardless of that, you're right... time is precious. But you've come here to comment on how "something isn't right with my GPU or configuration" without providing more reasons as to what that might be. If you already know, you could notice it in the video, given that I displayed all the specifications. So, if you want to help and show that I have a specific problem, please do so thoroughly rather than in this manner. Additionally, I want to emphasize that you know my channel, and you might think I'm a KZreadr, which is partly true. However, you still don't actually know who I am or what I do. Essentially, you know nothing about me, so it's not a really accurate to claim that you're "arguing with a KZreadr," without offense and good luck you too!

@@MeBhedHu-el7iz it's not just GTA. any DX9/10 game will run poorly compared to the rest because it doesn't have native support for it and uses a translation layer.

GTA is the most played game among millions of gamers worldwide, often not referred to as 'trash.' I don't know what kind of discrepancy you're referring to; whether it's a story you don't like, or physics, graphics, atmosphere, which would be a bit strange since Max Payne was built on the same engine. Anyway, that doesn't matter since that's your opinion, which disagrees with 99 percent of people. It doesn't change the situation where the Intel ARC GPUs fall short compared to NVIDIA and AMD GPUs, especially in dx9/10/11 titles. Being built on the only dx12 native API is the worst-case scenario where they need to use translation layers for everything, leading to significantly worse performance than double slower NVIDIA or AMD GPUs, which is quite unacceptable as a fact.

@edwardbenchmarks it is boring & repetitive same with ass creed games after assassin creed 3 its was very boring black flag was very boring have to grind so much to upgrade the ship just to progress some "people" are more like sheep they like to follow trend like to follow the mass like they are scared that they would be called out & left behind lol I like to enjoy games I like don't care about others opinions I don't follow the mass 💪 💪 games are ruined by open world & side quest mechanic which was introduced by gta which is also why I don't like grrr...... it ruined my experience of reduntant stuff shoved into todays game I like games to be completed as fast as possible I like to speed run stuff & be done with it life is short u know ain't nobody got time to put 30+hours ingame

Honestly? Probably only if you want to play 1440p (and if your CPU/motherboard supports resizable bar). The 1080ti is still a darn good 1080p card and will win out over the A770 in random games due to weird driver stuff.

I would still prefer 4060 over the A770. The power drawn of the 4060 is insane which later helps a lot with electric bills. Some people might complain about the low vram, but think realisticly, if you choose to go entry level card, you properbly don't expect to use max setting in every game anyway, and also wouldn't expect to go any higher than 1080p. So 8gb vram is not a problem!

Definitely rtx 4060 overall is more stable and better. Electricity isn't a big deal if you play the game 10h per day that would be 1-6e more electric bill depends which country you are in.

In some recent title vram is definitely a needy thing coz games are unoptimized and visual is way high even in low setting. Even some games lowe settings visual is higher than some games higher settings. So even in 1080p you wanna have more than 8gb vram... In upcoming years you'll regret to not have enough vram.
