Idk if anyone else commented but to clarify - Toji recognized that Megumi was his son, and then Toji asked Megumi what his name is, Megumi introduced himself as "Fushiguro" which means he chose not to be apart of the Zenin which Toji despised, and instead represents himself as his family name Fushiguro. This was a huge deal to Toji who lived, and died trying to deny clans like the Zenin. To see his son who was born talented and with one of the most sought after techniques deny the most famous sorcerer clan and take his family name which meant nothing caused Toji to snap out of his instict to fight caused by the ritual that revived him, and gave him a chance to end it so he doesnt kill his son who just made him the proudest dad in the world.

Just to clarify: Megumi’s “Ten Shadows Technique” (aka using 10 different Shikigamis) IS the special Zenin Clan Technique they were talking about. And Toji realized it was his son and recognized that technique when he mistepped into the shadow puddle. Also remember that Megumi attempted to pull out his mysterious trump card technique in almost every single fight he has been in throughout the series lol.

The animators of this season really outdid themselves again, this episode is even better than the previous one(Dagon vs Toji), and Yuji vs Choso imo because of the action choreography being mixed with the scenery. This season just keeps getting better and better and how love it this episode showcases how dangerously powerful both Toji and Sukuna are. Toji is the pinnacle of human physicality without any cursed energy, while Sukuna along with Gojo is the pinnacle of jujutsu sorcery. I can’t wait for the next episode, because a certain character that was teased in this episode is going to be properly introduced next week. 🔥

This fight kind of reminds me of Ichigo versus Grimmjow Also, I’m kind of torn between Yuji versus choso and this fight because his fight was one-sided but had a better animation but the choso fight had better choreography, and it was evenly matched.

Toji immediately backing off when he stabbed megumi and realized that this boy was his son in that moment was so sad, and then asking megumi for his name - I truly think that he would have still killed himself even if megumi said “megumi zenin” instead of “megumi fushigoro” because Toji would’ve realized Megumi was sold off by HIMSELF - obvi Toji can’t blame Megumi for that he was a child, I do think Toji would have killed himself either way but he was happy when he died because he realized gojo kept his promise - also I love how Tojis eyes went back to white (a nod to the reanimation’s in naruto when they were finally set free, black eyes to white) - I also don’t get how Megumi didn’t recognize him - Toji looks the exact same as when Megumi was a kid, I mean Toji was an adult then and now he’s his dad 😭

It wasn't the stabbing that snapped Toji back, it was the despite being stabbed, Megumi grabbed him and prepared a strike and in that moment he saw his face close up and Megumi's stare reminded him of his life, his wife especially, so when he asked if he was Zenin and confirmed despite all, Megumi kept his mother's family name, that's when Toji decided to kill himself, over taking the curse that kept him going crazy. Toji loved his wife so much, he broke after her death, but still felt happy his son still loved her to keep her name.

I’m glad the anime did jogo justice, this really showed how much of a threat jogo would have been and why yuji was so surprised gojo wanted him to be strong enough to exorcise jogo

its the fact toji was happy enough that megumi ended up in gojo’s care and kept the fushiguro name. He knew theres no hope for him to change in his reincarnated state cause the purpose of the old hags seance was to kill a sorcerer. Megumi is considered a sorcerer but Toji’s small sense of soul knows he can’t kill his blessing. :(

Soon as Toji heard he wasn't Zen'in he realised he needed to back pay child support. That's why he killed himself.

One of the reasons why this anime is already solidified. Toji's flashbacks would have been delayed until the next season by any other anime. JJK cut to the chase and said 'fuck it, you have no purpose' and killed him. LOL.

Kusakabe may be a coward, but remember what MeiMei said, before Yuji no sorcerer ever reached such a high level without a cursed technique, noone but Kusakabe. So while Kusakabe is a coward, he's likely crazy strong since he has much more experience than Yuji and is a complete master of the new shadow style.
