What's really interesting is this whole thing happened way before Jon came out as bisexual, so it really changes how ridiculous this whole story is.

To me, it kind of says his wife knew about Jon’s sexuality beforehand, otherwise, I doubt she would have been so adamant that this was a thing. Unless she is literally an idiot, because that’s how fans are with their favorite creators.

I know a divorce lawyer, that's a very scummy tactic. Anyone with half a brain would realize how insignificant this information is. His ex and her lawyer knew exactly what they were doing. It was just a stress tactic.

@@waterking74 I think he is referring to the delayed removal. Saying you will not have something apart of the case, but leaving it until the actual day of the trial to cause as much undo stress on the other party as possible.

I still think one of the funniest things about this story has to be Jon going "THAT'S FAN FICTION!!" to his ex-wife when she is talking about the fan account she saw. XD I can only imagine if anyone had been around to hear it how they would react to Jon shouting that off the top of his head.

I'm sure there were other reasons but imagine that was the reason why Jon's ex decided to divorce him because she saw a fan account and fanfiction of Jon and is a total boomer about it

There were other reasons on both sides for sure, but speaking as objectively as I can: Jon was in the right during the divorce. She wasn’t a pleasant person.

@@Girintina But people do that for celebrities all the time, pretty much since the advent of social media? How does she not know what a fan account or fan page is, and how does she not understand how many thousands of pictures of RT employees are publically accessible all over the internet?

@@jazzycat8917 I don't think I've EVER seen an account like that and I'm way younger than Jon and his ex. Accounts roleplaying as characters, sure, but not actual people. Maybe she's like me, or maybe she just doesn't understand how big RT's fanbase is. Either way how is she supposed to know, without asking him, if it's a fan account or not when it really has his basic info and pictures of him?

@@Girintina I don't know what to tell you man, common sense? Fan made facebooks, twitters and instas for celebrities have been around for literal decades at this point. If she can't tell the difference between a fan account and a real one, then thats kind of a fail in tems of internet literacy and in understanding the audience RT (or any big celeb) has. Anyone born into the digital age and raised to know social media/fan culture should be able to tell, or at least take an educated guess. You and her are definitely exceptions to the rule. Not necessarily a detrimental thing, but something to keep in mind if its gonna cause confusion to this scale.

@@jazzycat8917 I'm Jon's age. While you are right that fan accounts have been around forever, they are by no means mainstream. Also, there is a good chunk of millennials that were very late adopters of social media, or never used it at all, outside of maybe facebook, which once upon a time was limited to just your friends.
