That was designed to clear trenches and bunkers, even if explodes outside, it's aerosole enters through tiny holes and windows burning everything inside. That's why it's called flamethrower - same result but much more faster and effective, with no need to risk and approach enemy position too close

As someone who fought with both weapons in Croatian war, not gonna lie US weapons are way better ended. Soviet is cheaper but it's not the same quality, i'll trust more the US gun to save my life. For tanks and vehicle i don't know we only had Soviet ones. Now i don't Know about the modern version of the AK 12 but the AK 74 we had were really bad. Maybe they were old af too.

It's not the same as a traditional flame thrower, the explosive disperses a fuel into the air before detonating it, as opposed to spraying fuel that is ignited as soon as it leaves the barrel

Думаю что нет. Он использовал всё то оружие что есть в DNR ( Donetsk people republic). Ополчение ДНР использовалось 2014 году противотанковые ружья. Они пробивают легко бронированную технику. Например БТР, БМП или такие машины как ваш Humvee или Maxpro

It's probably most famous for being used to toast the Donbass rebel commander Mikhail "Givi" Tolstych. As for Beslan, maybe they were hoping that the oxygen-removing effect of a thermobaric weapon would lead to more terrorists getting instantly incapacitated with less collateral damage to civilians. However, the blast wave and following vacuum also tend to cause massive barotrauma to the lungs.

@@xWILZTAx The "RPG's" they used were supposedly RShG's, i.e. RPG-27’s with thermobaric warheads. IMO the people who planned the operation were hoping that the thermobarics would decrease the number of casualties compared to other methods, but as you said, the primary concern for the government in Moscow was probably to send a message about how they wouldn’t negotiate with terrorists, let alone involve the Chechen political leadership in the negotations. I assume there was also a lot of general incompetence involved where quick medical treatment of the injured hostages could have saved a lot of lives - similar to how many of the victims of the Moscow theater siege could have been saved, had the paramedics been informed that the knockout-aerosol they pumped into the ventilation system was based on fentanyl derivatives, and could have been reversed with naloxone.

Dude this is specially made thermoberic weapon for urban warfare.and made for different specific job than karl .Karl Gustav is not a wonder weapon. It's so over hyped.sure it's a good weapon that has less recoil when fires and can kill tanks but there are many tank killing weapons. just because it has two stage rocket to propel it doesn't mean it's the only system that exist. It's made as a improved weapon than regular rocket launcher and less expensive than a nlaw or a javlin

like the video, but the editing of the explosion was a bit to much, didn't get the understanding of the power. I think it would have been better to show the clips in full from all angles and then the 'cool' slowmo and editing
