This is so cool. I still have an old SD video of the beta Zone Mode as proof that this cooler, seizure-inducing mode ever existed. And now I get to see it in 1080p60!

Watching these new videos of yours makes me realise how much I miss wipeout. Why Sony abandoned this franchise is beyond my understanding. Btw, how the hell did you put your hands on beta??

@@katsudon2048 I’ve played the living hell out of WPO. Am still having an online game every now and then but I’d love to see some new incarnation of the franchise. New tracks, new teams, new music, maybe expand on WO Fusion campaign(?). I just want new WipeOut

I mean,zone mode is still very triggering to epileptic people,so it's kinda of a pointless effort tbh lol

@@junpei6180 why would anyone with epilepsy even get near wipeout in the first place? That’s like someone with war ptsd playing call of duty.

You know, if it were possible to make a TAS of a PS3 game, you could theoretically “play” Zone Mode until the game stops behaving correctly.

Do you mind sharing this? I've been wanting to play this for years but the forums are locked. Nice to finally see footage!

@@HybridDivide please check description. i re-uploaded the game, but it's a folder but not PKG format, so go to RPCS3 dir > dev_hdd0 > game. let me know if it doesn't work

wish they kept the old font, it suited the game better.

RPCS3 would be the easiest way to play this. Setting this up on a console requires a HEN ps3. I re-uploaded the link but it's a folder but not PKG format like before (can't find it)

Thanks for the link! I downloaded it, but unfortunately it didn't work. I tried the pre-alpha build too, neither did that. Do you have any specific emulator settings, which might help? Either way, thanks again!

It should work out of the box on default rpcs3 settings. I use Write color buffers and driver wake up delay, but that shouldnt prevent a boot.

Lucky I still have it on PS3 but feel bad for the people who never got to experience it. The Omega Collection is great but the music isn’t as good in my opinion.

Well the lighting here doesn’t look as good as the final game. Just look how dark the ship looks compared to the rest of the environment as it changes color.
