This looks interesting. It appears that WipEout HD runs in the same engine the PSP WipEout games run in, but with many different changes, like the improved graphics for example. I also like how the alpha build even had the same sound effects from WipEout Pulse, as well as the physics and camera movement.

Woa, the hot pink + white style with hexagons is the exact same style used in Sound Voltex 2. i think it looks kind of cool

Since the outwardly banked corner in released version of the game is plastered with Piranha billboards, would the Piranha Bowl (what the corner is canonically called) been called the EGX Bowl considering the corner has EGX in the pre-alpha version

Dang nice, what's your PC specs? Also am somewhat unfamiliar with HD but it looks like you're playing in super phantom or something and the UI looks slightly different (could be due to emulation I guess), how's it go so fast

It's the pre-alpha version, basically just a port of pulse with pure tracks. the build is from august 2007 i think.

@@CyrisTM yeah, I can see that it's based on Pulse. The ships are far less floathy just like in Pulse. But what I meant was: how do lap times compare? Between pre-alpha build and original disc version?

Where'd you find the pre-alpha for this? Not asking for an illegal copy, just wondering if there was any special steps to get ahold of it since I didn't know there was a pre-alpha leaked.

@@ThatOneBonk i already have whd + rpcs3 set up but it runs like doodoo. 20 to 60 FPS Rollercoaster and crashes by the 4th race usually

The game needs wake up delay set to at least 250-500us to prevent crashes
