'Royals keeping Prince Harry at arm's length after Queen's death': Royal experts react

'Royals keeping Prince Harry at arm's length after Queen's death' says Royal expert | Palace Confidential. Royal expert Richard Eden reacts to news of Prince Harry rushing to Balmoral to be with Queen Elizabeth before her death. 'He was there 12 hours - did he even have breakfast with his brother? To be honest, I doubt it. And I think they are keeping him at arm’s length. And to be honest, who can blame them? With the series of interviews they give and not knowing what’s going to be repeated in the interviews or some new Netflix programme, it’s understandable isn’t it?'

I visited my 97 yr old grandmother, who lived in another state. That night as I lay in her spare room I knew inside it would be the last time..I took my pillow and blanket, went to her room and lay down on the floor next to her bed..I remember the shadows on the wall as the moonlite changed, the birds chirping in the morning, mostly my childhood memories of her...she died a few months later..I'll never forget her..My sincere condolences to the people of the U.K. and the family of Queen Elizabeth..

@@mrsblue3011 tbh I wouldn't be surprised if this is what breaks them apart. Harry's lost everything because of her and we know, despite all the horrible things he's done over the past few years, that he did love The Queen. Having said that he also can only blame himself for his actions. I completely understand why the other royals did not want him there. Give it a day or two and he'd be selling all the details to the highest bidder. It is such a huge pity he will never be able to fix the damage he has created and it will haunt him until the day he dies sadly. Mark my words they'll be having rows soon enough as pressure mounts on him. He's only got methane and his kids but it'll never feel like home. Most brits abroad in the end all want to return to the UK including the monarchs.

What strikes me most about the late Queen is that, unlike most of her predecessors, she always checked her ego at the door. You are right, elderly whites do get those called senile purpura on their arms and hands and it’s from easy brushing and even spontaneous bruising. However, I have looked at the queen’s pictures from before that day, when she wasn’t wearing gloves and she didn’t have that. So it seems to me that the discoloration was recent and points to the fact that she was probably not well and was receiving IV medications or any other sort of treatments and probably getting blood work drawn which left her hands bruised. I was wondering why she didn’t wear gloves that day. They probably didn’t think of it, that people would notice because immediately that picture go out, that became the topic… people started speculating that something wasn’t right…. 48 hrs later, the fears were confirmed. PS: IV = Intra venous

It is not unusual at all for a person to marry into a family and permanently alter and shatter it. Many of us know that same outcome. It’s really sad but cannot be reversed. Everyone who wishes for there to not be a rift in the family we enjoy vicariously, is grieved by having to accept a stupid situation that many of us have to do in our own personal family lives.

The damage Harry has done to his relationship with William is most likely irreparable. I honestly don't think Harry cares much about his father. Not sure I would care much for my father either if he treated my mother the way Charles treated Diana. But William and Harry were very close, and Harry destroyed that bond. He was also very close to Elizabeth, and I don't think he will ever forgive himself for what he did to her. After sacrificing her entire life in service to the crown, his actions go against everything she has worked so tirelessly to accomplish. Had he ended the charade with Meghan two years ago, there may have been a chance to salvage his relationship with his brother and his grandmother, but it is too late now.

Who cares about Andrew? Andrew has been irrelevant and out of the picture for over a decade. Once Charles' children became adults, the spares (Anne, Andrew and Edward) were no longer needed. The same will happen to Harry in 15 years, once George, Charlotte and Louis become adults and take over their responsibilities. Perhaps that is why Harry was willing to betray his family.

It is quite sad that the Queen's passing is overshadowed by the rift between Harry and his family. It is obvious that the family is presenting a united front out of respect for the Queen but it is clear to me that no reconciliation has taken place. Catherine is keeping her distance from Meghan and Meghan is quite aware she is not welcomed. After this mourning period, Harry and Meghan will return to their lives, separate from the Royal Family. Harry takes time to reflect??? Why wouldn't he? And who is to say that he hasn't already long done that? I have moved from one country to another and not by my choice. Make no assumption that there was plenty of reflection and taking time for that. Harry made an informed decision when he moved to the US (right or wrong). And with the way the royal family snubbed Meagan (and Princess Diana before that) they shouldn't be surprised if they loose family members. And at the end of the day what do we outsiders really truly know of what is going on behind those castle walls? William used to be my favored. He no longer is. Diana would turn over in her grave if she could. Bottom line, we can't assume anything since we do not have the facts. All we have is what the media reports. And who knows how much factual information all that really is.

@@alicelee5045 Would you believe I didn't even watch their interview with Oprah? At the moment it's not important to me nor am I curious to know about all that. And who knows what it actually was that made Harry do the things he did. Could it have been the trauma of loosing his mother? Could it be lack of respect for the English lifestyle? Could it be resentment to being born into royalty and having to stand up to the expectations? Psychology / human behavior is such a huge wide ranging subject. I know from where he was very little - he was always a little sh!11. He was a funny lovable little sh!11 though. He got himself into some trouble over the years - well, the media hounded him for some of the shenanigans he pulled (one Halloween he showed up in a Hitler outfit - had it been you or me the media would never have made a huge whoopie doopie). I honestly wonder whether he was ever truly happy in the English strict Court Ceremonial Lifestyle. His mother never conformed much to the royalty lifestyle. I also don't know whether to think if Meaghan made him do anything. I wouldn't be surprised if she was just the ticket out of his restrictive "straightjacket" life he was looking for. One can only assume. But I surely know how difficult it is to move from one country to another. It's not too easy. So I reserve judging him and Meaghan until I have the facts, which will probably be in all reality never.
