I had a friend, a nurse, from Ngāruawāhia, many years ago. Kiwis are fantastic!

These few marvellous minutes of show off takes you hours to prepare & stand down.

I had the honour to parade to Scottish band, dine to it & then listen to it on my cassette player in my mess after duty to relax, in good old days! Nostalgiaaaa!

Excellent! Well done! And I found their pony beautiful as well.

We would have dinners with this band on. wow! Scottish Bandd👍🖖👌💪🙋‍♂️ Takes me back decades ago!

Love this! It's on my bucket list to visit Scotland someday.

my dad was in the Royal Scots in ww2 and my brother was in the Queens own Highlanders , very proud .

Tradition is a grand thing!

It's like this the orders must be shouted up. It makes troops disciplined and a fighting spirit, and also them to push themselves. The accuracy in the ranks is outstanding. How to do the best warriors in the world? Listen and watch on. It's not for the faint heart or sissies. Personally, I love it. It's looking good and giving us a feeling of strength. A lot of commentaries say about pride. Yes, be proud to be born in Great Britain, you can.👏👍😊

Of course their drill is impeccable, they are part of the BRITISH ARMY and consequently are trained to march on parade in the same way as all the other regiments of the British army. Nice to watch.

Yes, they would, as proud Scots , carry the Saltire. It predates the UJ by about 900 years. At the moment the Regiments have to use the UJ. And Ron F1, I think you would be more than surprised. Do remember that one of the major reasons for Scotland being dragged into a Union it didn't want,by about 100 men paid to vote for it with titles, lands and money, was that the Scottish armies were wanted as frontline troops. Their efficacy had already been noted against the Auld Enemy, and that was why they were wanted in the amalgamated army.

The Shetland Pony, Cruachan, is the Regimental mascot. Many regiments have appropriate mascots - Scottish Deerhounds, Irish Wolfhounds and so on.
