I am 4 yrs in 1RGJ and 14 Yrs RAMC - The RMP are the Dog's Bollocks they take a lot of stick and still do their job! Brilliant
Seeing this reminded me of the time in 1955 at Inkerman Bks on the day of our Pass Out parade, the WRAC band on that occasion were excellent.

I passed out in Inkerman in 1957 and I remember marching to the Watchtower. I was and will always proud to have been a Royal Military Policeman.
Similar parade route to that on the Corps Centenary Parade , for that the pulled in NCO`s from every RMP company spread around the globe to form two marching contingents, only problem there were no officers and Major Whistler RMP Retired instructed the RSM to lead the parade with a drawn sword , the RSM protested that he could only march with a drawn sword when escorting Colours but Major Whistler told him to do it , the RSM was an ex Royal Marine Commando and got a perverse pleasure marching around the home of the British Army with a drawn sword.

Inkerman Bks 505 Squad, three years HQ 2nd Inf Div Pro Coy, 6 Sect Wuppertal then 5 Sect Iserlohne, those three years prompted me to eventually make contact with army friends. with much sucsess I became founder of RMP Old Comrades Link-up.
God almighty..i know some of these faces here....we are all in our forties now....
great vid Certainly different from how we do it her in little old NZ Mind you the RNZCMP is so tiny all MPs in NZ are internal appointments
A salute to Brigadier Raymond Bell and Captain Peter Townsend, Royal Military Police, who served in the British Army on the Rhine in years past. It was my privilege to know these gentlemen when I served as Provost Marshal, 3rd Armored Division, "Spearhead". J. Leson, COL, US Army, Retired.
Radiomen on parade... a reminder to us today of the threat they faced from the IRA back then.
God Save The Queen. Long Live The Queen.

I don't think the British Army could turn out a parade as large as this now with all the cut backs 1994 to 2014 cutbacks cutbacks we need to get used to being the village of the global world where have we gone wrong
