Exactly! They can't be seriously targeting young buyers with those numbers, no matter what the total experience or capabilities of the said rider will be. Also with E20 Engine will be less powerful & less efficient & heavy RE bike, will cause more oil to be used, may feel lethargic to an active young buyer. They need to pump out atleast 22-25hp power with 6 speed GB!

Why YAMAHA is unwilling to bring in XSR-155? FZ-X is a good product for India but NO MATCH to XSR-155. Aerox - worst suspension of the world of scooters. Please do an elaborate analysis on YAMAHA plans for India. Seems they are unwilling to go ahead.

I am willing to move into 650, but I wont make compromises that I made in the 350cc. It has to have good suspension, pillion comfort, good ergo, proper foot-peg position. I don’t mind paying but the product has to be premium.

My 2 paise , i see a market for a retro 400-500 cc (not a water cooled , maximum oil cooler) 270 degree crank ( minimum vibration), alloy wheels , twin siencer tucked close to swing arm , retro chrome and round headlight with twin pod instrument cluster with sufficient ground clearance, centre stand and a maximum 800-815 mm seat height , good rider triangle for someone from 5'7"to 6'.0" and slack in cable to accommodate about 50 mm handle bar raisers .

make a air and oil cooled 250cc bike with around 20-22hp...... upbore the 650cc engines to 750 cc or 800cc and make them produce 60hp-65hp in the premium classic segment...... they should make a 750cc "R" engine for enttry into the premium performance oriented bikes making around 90hp-100hp....... take two 250cc engines combine them to make a v twin like the kx model producing around 40hp that may take the place of the current 650cc linup...... this v twin can just may fill the blank left by the iron 883...... the 250cc bikes should not be retro bikes and produce less torque so as to not kill the 350cc linup........ its just my fantasy..... but yeah , itt is what it is

I would probably buy the 250cc RE bike as my next upgrade. I work in the outskirts in the city and have to commute to the city once a week. So the 350cc is too much for the city, while the 160cc Avenger that I ride is slightly underpowered on the open roads. 250cc, and especially an urban cruiser would strike head-to-head with the Avenger, probably breaking open its monopoly in the segment.

If u could reduce the weight of the bike and give performance like a 350 cc bike it would be a great deal .As 250 cc bike would give mileage of around 40 km per liter its going to be a great deal and game changer for the brand .Could copy what TVS ronin did how it compete with hunder even though it's 220 cc bike .And the top model on the road price should be 2 lakhs max .

Royal Enfield really needs to work on the quality of products that are being offered for a premium. I have a barely 3 year old Continental GT 650 which has been towed off twice, once for a fuel pump that went kaput and once for a self starter fault. The exhaust header has fully rusted through and the company refuses to replace it. Overall very happy with the product, but utterly disappointed with the quality.

setting up assembly units in UK probably made sense before brexit. exporting from britain to mainland europe is now very disadvantageous. As for the US, it's very simple, the young do not have any money. It's heavily concentrated in the hands of the 50+ year old demographic which have no interest in royal enfields. I think this applies to the UK as well with the severe economic crisis they're in.

Why new RE bikes are developed in UK, are Indian engineers not capable to build a good product here!! And Indian brands really dont build many engines, they just build a platform and bring out different style bikes on the same platform. Is it really that hard to build a engine even for a multi million dollar auto company, with best talent in the country at their disposal, vendor network, etc!!!

Looking at quality of Indian engineering colleges, it's no surprise engineers here are good in paper only..real engineering will always be done by countries that have better colleges and excellent r&d environment... Indian companies will always rely on foreign talent . Indian engineers will not do any pioneering research for upcoming several decades and will continue to get jobs in low end discarded western technology.....
