One of the best honest "real world" reviews out there. This is my 4th watch. I keep coming back. I fell in love at first site of the bike. I had it shipped from Toronto to Atlantic Canada. Have added mods and cannot wait for spring! Great work. Looking forward to more.

HI Lofty, thank you for the review. I've put a deposit down on one in yellow, my first 'big' bike after passing my test. I'm never gonna be a boy racer and this looked great to start off, lovely fit and finish.

Hello from the Netherlands, after 50 years of motorcycling ao Jawa, NSU MAX, Harley WLA 750, Suzuki Intruder 700, Suzuki Intruder 1400, Yamaha 1100, Honda Shadow 600, Harley Sportster 883 and 1200, Harley Fxrs 1988, Harley WLA 750 now after 5 years ago, at the age of 74, a Royal Enfield 350 had been bought, the black one. I fell in love with this all-new model instantly, and what a great bike I've already ridden 1000 kilometers with pleasure and every kilometer is a party. The bike steers very easily every corner can be taken smoothly, everything works great and it looks great, a nice rumble from the exhaust as an extra. Both on the highway and on the back roads no problem at all, oh yes, at my age and after a car accident I can't move my right leg over the passenger backrest, so it was quickly removed. Can highly recommend this motorcycle to anyone who genuinely loves motorcycling, greetings from the Netherlands from Rob

Hi from a fellow midlander. Excellent down to earth no frills review by someone who's obviously ridden a lot of bikes. Like you I have a maxi Scoot - Honda Forza 300. Traded in a Royal Enfield Himalayan for the scoot due to the seat hieght and older bloke complaints. Missed the Enfields single thumper engine so much that I tested a Meteor 350 4 weeks ago, so impressed with it I ordered one on the spot and collect it tomorrow. All the best.👍

Ha! Just recently took out the very same demo bike from Damerells. Agree the build quality looks good - the Triumph influence is coming through in the finish and branding. Nice light clutch, smooth gear change and a lovely exhaust burble. Engine seemed a bit lethargic but it's not a bike to ride furiously. The only thing which I didn't like was the forward position of the footpegs - had my feet flailing about looking for them at times - but that's due to lack of cruiser experience I guess. If the whole package was put into a more 'conventional' frame/riding position, I'd have one.

Hello Lofty.. Thank you for a fab review, I have a Royal Enfield Stellar Red 350cc and I love it..my bike is only 8 month's old and done 275 miles on the clock so more running in to do! I so enjoy viewing all the reviews on this bike...for me best bike I have owned..love everything about it, feel so safe in her and I get on well with the heel toe gear change..for me speed is not important, as you say, cruising down the road travelling to work, which is 68 miles round trip,or taking a trip to the coast..it's a total gem!! Thank you for your great video 😁😁 I have subscribed to your channel.

This is the first time I have seen one of your videos and I generally liked the review. I am thinking of buying one of these bikes to bimble around the local lanes and have a trip to the coast occasionally. I don`t like to criticise anybody`s video but the camera, made it very hard to watch, particularly from about 12 minutes into the video and I found myself looking away from the screen, so that I could listen to what you were saying. It was like feeling sea sick. Sorry.

@@tpz32 Ah, I see where you're coming from! I believe that CEAT is part of the RPG group and is India's largest tyre manufacturer - huge market. I believe CEAT was started in Italy, around 1923/4, but is now one of India's leading tyre makers. According to RE, they worked with CEAT in India, to develop the tyres specifically for the Meteor. They have done a brilliant job too. Not once have I felt the tyres lacked grip or were compromised by road or weather conditions. When my my Meteor needs new shoes, I'll probably replace them with the CEAT's.

Haha! You really should put more miles on it. Good for the blood pressure, and your general well being. Should be on prescription! I picked mine up about a month ago, did 300 miles in 3 weeks and another 300 in 4 days! A good review, as The Shorty Biker (TSB) I can confirm that they do a lower seat option, which I bought from Hitchcocks. Absolutely love it, not fast, not scary, just puts a huge grin on your face! Also, others seem to like it. I've a few guys come up and ask how old it is, or that is a great restoration, or I had one of those back in the 50's! Jump on, pick nice country roads and randomly turn off to places you have never seen. :-)

I tried a brand new Meteor recently and agree that that the finish is first rate. It seems better put together than the Interceptor. In fact I examined the 2021 Interceptor and felt it was of less quality than the previous 2019 model. I noticed that the new model has cheap Indian manufactured tyres and the wheel rims are no longer chromed but merely painted. Also I thought the welding on the frame as sub standard. Are Royal Enfield churning out the Interceptor because of it’s popularity and not bothering to keep up with quality control?

The CEAT tyres arent a cheap option. They have been designed and developed specifically for the twins because the Pirellis were found to need to come up to temp before they performed in wet or cold conditions. The CEAT (again another old Italian brand that is now Indian owned) compounds are apparently superior. Just cheaper because they are Indian manufactured.

We all admit that Honda's are great bikes, super reliable and great engineering but they're boring and nothing to look at. Japanese bikes bring no emotions to the rider and no passer by will stop to talk to you at the gas station or cafe about your bike. Motorcycling is an experience not just a destination.
