Royal enfield himalayan 450 chassis break | New Himalayan 452 Crash Guard by Zana

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We have been informed about the RE chassis failure cases recently
Here we have shown that we have never touched the ENGINE BOLT ever. False claims against Zana for sure.
We have explained the entire design language of the setup

    Still RE's claim stands. Other brand crash guards use the engine mount point to mount the crash guard. And lack of proper fitting or incompatible bolts causes uneven torque distribution and subsequent oscillation leading to weak frame and eventual break.

    Are you might not be talking about zana but there are other brands too, and most people opt for cheap crash guards thinking they are tough, when in reality crash guards should be weak. Also he did not address that issue, on how the crash guard works it's simply because if he says the crash guard is weak as it is supposed to be nobody will buy it.

    Was it your crash guard installed on that black Himalayan? Is it possible that the person who installed crash guard had removed or done something with that bolt on which engine is mounted?

  • @madbikerider-insta
    @madbikerider-instaАй бұрын

    Crash guards are sacrificial members that are expected to collapse on impact. If you install robust crash frames, especially with sliders, they will not bend (strain)and will put all stresses on the chassis membranes instead . This is akin to putting a strong pipe guard in front of the car to save the bumper… Zana’s explanations are not adequate. They do not address the mode of fall to explain why their member is in order and the chassis is broken. I have an interceptor and a Himalayan 411, and have used only the OEM guards.

    There must have been a fall or they must have done a jump to cause an impact for the break. Nothing is mentioned any where. Any external stiffeners will obstruct free flexibility of the chassis design. Use only oem guard

    This is new twist. Very well explained. RE should give an official statement and explanation. Customer can not be kept in dark and leave doubts in mind. Am wondering why has RE not given any official statement. Also one question is if the damage was due to the afm crash guards how did they fix it under warranty. Not saying who is right who is wrong. But some answers will be appreciated. Thanks for the clear video appreciate it.

    Thank you for sharing a one take video for all 452 owners and soon to be owners. This should clarify the buzz that's going on social media. I have been using Zana products on my own motorcycle for 3 years now. Haven't got the need to tightened any bolt or nut ever even after doing 50000 kms + Factory QC has always been the Achilles heel for RE. Maybe this time around with their new platform and the feedback coming from first few lots of motorcycle deliveries, they create good solid mechanisms that take out imperfections in their production line. That would eliminate the imperfections that may land up in their stock pile.

    But the white 450 had zana crash gaurds but not sure if the chassis break was because of the crash gaurd. In case of hanle black there is no sign of crash gaurd installed and the middle portion where the chassis broke the chassis thickness was so thin. I am wondering how it can take the load because most of the stress is under the rider seat
