This guys effects rig is pretty amazing. He's found a great formula for sure. Now if he can keep from remaining one dimensional for several releases, that will be cool! Then again, ACDC made a career out of one dimension, so...

I'd say of Royal Blood already, heard one song heard em all, and it's fairly pedestrian. Without the bass&drums&thatsit gimmick they'd not really be anything.

I think the vocals need to be turned up a bit. He's lows are really hard to hear. Nevertheless, everything about these two are perfect.

I love how a part of NIrvana's song In bloom is on the riff of "Hole"

Mike Kerr is a living legend only one bass is covering all the guitars and bass only legend can do this

So many influences at play here. QOTSA, White Stripes, Wolfmother, even Truckfighters a bit on Out of The Black.

Ben Hampton Everyone has an opinion, yes it's our individual expression but going so far as to saying every opinion is an art form? Seriously? I was voicing my opinion which I feel very strongly about, having put up with soft little pricks moshing at gigs where it makes them look foolish. Starting a pit at Arctic Monkeys for example. Just pathetic. If I go to a metal gig, Slipknot for example I'm going to in January, I expect there to be pits, proper pits I might add. But Royal blood are a two piece rock band, and don't need a pit. Out of curiosity, might I ask why you enjoy pits so much? I've been in a few myself and don't find it particularly great falling over and pushing strangers around... Whatever, I'm in to the music itself and go to gigs to enjoy the music and appreciate the musicianship...

Para que se comprenda lo mencionado: Esa agrupación, Royal Blood, se compone solo de un bajista y un baterista. Es como la continuación de White Stripes o de Animals as Leaders. y comenté eso poarque Mike Kerr, el bajista, usa un bajo Fender con escala de 30 pulgadas cuando la costumbre hoy es usar bajos de 34 o 35 pulgadas. El Sr. Kerr obtiene un sonido potente que elimina la necesidad de guitarristas en la banda.

I don't know what all is going on there, but it actually sounds like a bass and a guitar playing, not an effect. It's like the bass side is slightly delayed to make it sound more like two guys playing. Whatever it is, it's f'ing awesome!

Its due to the bass signal being split between two (well atleast two) speakers. I don't think there's an actual delay effect. It's just a matter of how the sound waves are bouncing out of the speakers

No delay. Just a ring modulator (or whatever they're called) and the signal being split into a guitar amp and a bass amp.

And then he's either turning the bass side off in parts, then kicking it back in to make it sound more real OR the bass side cuts out when he hits the higher notes. I dunno. But it sounds very real to me!

Heavier strings, so you'll get way fatter sound than you would with a normal guitar
