Definitely. Roy, Giggsy, Scholes, Gary, Sir Alex. Ronaldo is blessed he went to that team when he did. They taught him to be dedicated and be a winner and give 110% percent to your craft. So glad Ron is back home to end his top level career at the place that contributed so much to the player he eventually became. So pumped for this season and you can tell Ronaldo is too.

It depends. I find his grumpy ruthlessness somewhat refreshing, a ray of sunshine of a different variety maybe. I've not had a lot of conversations with people about Roy Keane, so I don't really know what others think about him, hence why I asked if the original comment was sarcasm or not.

I saw him in possibly his first ever Forest match in a preseason friendly against a local non league side and managed to get Cloughys autograph. Brilliant.

Roy is great. He is like a grumpy Dad that doesn't get the younger generation and freely admits he doesn't want to. I get where he is coming from. His Overlap walk in the park with Gary that just came out is one of the best things I have watched on youtube. These guys were great.

Despite being a life long City fan, I find Roy Keane a joy to comprehend. No nonsense, old skool manners. Respect.

Totally.. Even as recently as 2005... Maldini, Costacurta, Davids, Zanetti, Keane, Ballack, Zidane, Figo, Lampard... Those were a joy to watch not least because you knew their personalities and idiosyncracies... They had character... Today its so different... Its also because they are so young now I think.. Milan team had so many players above 30... REtiring at 37 was normal.

@gem limos Well, Rooney's one year older than I am and hiding the remote would have pissed me off as well then (as a 17 yr old) lol, but I wouldn't have been so sour about it, just walked up to the TV and changed it back and say something along the lines of "it was funny the first time, but now it's just annoying."
