Gotta love Bergkamp putting his arm on Vieira's shoulder, shame we can't hear what he says. Assessing whats going on, checking if his friends alright, and was the only one who didn't seem slightly amused by the argument judging by the look on his face, instead looked like he was genuinely concerned and wanting to just get out on the pitch and play the game without any violence. How can anyone not like that guy. Calm with a ball at his feet and calm in bad situations, makes sense lol. An absolute legend.

Just my thoughts
Everyone that plays football, knows Roy is the kind of lad you want in your team. Has your back at all time and inspire others.
The tension in those games when AFC & MU went head to head, was the most intense of any games in PL history, as an AFC fan it started with me days before the game. Both fans knew for those seasons that these games could/did actually decide the title. There was so many contrasting characters & characteristics between the 2 clubs, that made it all so box office! Like the opposite visuals of a mongoose taking on a python. The biggest/most famous club in the world, the only club with big money them days, led by a working class straight talking, strong willed, Scotsman in Fergie, with an aticulate, elegent Frenchman nicknamed 'le Professor', Wenger. Fans from a nothern city (and many from London too), v's the southern city, the biggest city, the capital, London. The 30m Rio v the 2.5 Toure from Belgium. 30m Rooney v 12.5m Henry. The bundle of fire and temper presented in the form of not a physically big guy, but the strength in his head made him an seem like a Superman Spartan, bringing ever ounce of the famed Irish spirit onto the pitch, when he shaved his head, the honey badger migh have lost a bit of fur, but none of its fearsome ferocity. His namesis the tall classy slender Frenchman, the human champagne glass made from steel, with telescopic legs, that looked like a mismatch in many sports. Was if the high jumper after clearing the bar, had such a rush of adrenaline, he then decided to challenge another athlete, form another random sport. These games gave AFC, MU & football fans so many iconic moments, the Nistelrooy PEN miss & all the argy-bargy that followed it, Wenger being sent off and stood in the terrace with his arms horizontaly outstretched like the Jesus Christ statue atop of the mountain in Brazil, they were really were World Wide box office!

This is the defining Premier League game in my opinion. 2 biggest teams that had a rivalry so huge it showed even off the pitch. It was the last great days of English football before it became more integrated into the European bubble (despite this being between a Frenchman and an Irishman). This match was a blockbuster. Luckily my team won! I will never forget that night. A mid-season league match, yet it had all the drama of a cup final between a rock and hard place.
