Bill Frassanito's work spans my whole life. I have grown up with it. I have also grown up with the conviction that the 'Harvest of Death' photos had to have been taken on the first day's field. Thank you Ranger Matt and Stuffwriter for this video and the invite to Scott & John for the presentation.

Dear Mr. Stuffwriter, please accept my heartfelt thanks for sharing these priceless battlefield walks and talks videos with those of us who ;live and breath Civil War, but are no longer able to attend them personally. I looked at this one first, as it came up on my KZread today, and will look at all of them as time allows. Again, thanks and the best of health and happiness to you, sir!

You guys have to learn though to keep at least one muzzle handy for each stupid cackling woman that loves to hear the sound of her own loud misplaced overnblown laughter. Just a small request ios all!~

Ok, at 32 minutes in and you're doing it again! I hoped this was a one-off stunt at an attempt to be cute, but once more and I am not going to waste my time trying to take a 2 hour history lesson from an illiterate child while there is a well tax paid historian standing there doing nothing but wasting my time!

Dude, please cut Matt a little slack. She is doing very well. Teaching youngsters is a good way to get them interested in history. These lectures are free on KZread. The presenters are there to teach the live persons on the walk. What Stuff Writer is doing is just a little extra for us on line.

@@navy7633 "Dude" as you chose to refer to me, she is NOT "doing very well" the exact reason for my frustration. THERE IS A TIME AND PLACE FOR EVERYTHING and having an illiterate child failing at doing YOUR work in your workplace of relating facts is not proper. It is a waste of my time as a consumer of KZread content and a waste of my tax money having a tax paid Ranger of which part of his job is being a historian and giving lectured tours without engaging and entrusting an illiterate child with no public speaking skills to be the giver of critical subject matter facts. It is Matt's job to give these tours not the job of a 6 or 7 year old girl, whether it is posted to KZread of not. Since it is posted to KZread either by StuffWriter or The NPS it is still a reflection or evidence of something being done improperly, and incorrectly. Whether you are aware of it or not KZread is most certainly a business of which StuffWriter is a content provider, i.e. a salesman. KZread videos are not free. They are paid for with my time by having to watch the commercials on StuffWriters channel every 5 to 10 minutes as his channel is very heavily monetized evident by the amount of paid ads one is forced to suffer through to view these "free" videos as you think they are. As a KZread consumer and a tax payer I am making, in my opinion, a very appropriate observation, comment, and request. As I said there is a time and place for everything and this was not proper example of that. I have never in my professional life known it to be appropriate to use my child or use anyone else's child to do my job especially when they are not capable of it. Also I am not an old, well perhaps old as that is subjective, but I am not a curmudgeon that hates children nor thinks they should not be nurtured in every possible appropriate way or included in things when appropriate and done appropriately and this is not an example of that. I think it is great when Matt uses the children from the crowd as assistants in demonstrations and think it heart warming how he relates to them, and their parents, with a great engaging sense of humor in the course of the programs. Further, I do "cut Matt a little slack" Dude. I am a huge supporter of Matt Atkinson having written letters in appreciation and support of his work and knowledge and stating that he is generally the only Ranger/Historian from the Gettysburg NP of whom's walks, lectures or other offered speaking that I will watch because I appreciate and trust his knowledge and very much enjoy his entertaining style of presentation. Which by the way, StuffWriter is not the only publisher of Matt and other rangers work. The Gettysburg NPS has their own KZread channel and social media containing his and others' content such as the Gettysburg NPS Winter Lecture Seriers for example that my tax dollars are also paying for. so it isn't all just a nice free gesture from StuffWriter that's doing us a favor by letting us tag along with the "live persons on the walk". Do you not see the other cameras and that Matt is not guiding off of StuWritter's camera any more? There are much larger cameras there and in recent videos that are seen in StuffWriters videos that Matt is prioritizing and playing to. He often comments to them and coordinates his actions with the cameras other than StuffWriter's which I can only guess by his actions and manners are there as part of the NPS. This is business, serious business and more importantly it is history and information that should be taken and treated seriously to be done well, which Matt and other rangers at GNP usually do, but not this time. And in this time of revisionist history and other issues someone such as Ranger Atkinson's work becomes all the more important!!! And I appreciate it! That is one of the reasons I hate to see it cheapened and nearly ruined in this way. And just because I wasn't one of "the live persons on the walk" that day doesn't mean that I don't have a stake in the goings on there or shouldn't be willing to comment on when something is being done inappropriately especially when my tax dollars are paying for it whether it is being videoed or not and disseminated by whomever! All in the interest of just cutting some slack... Dude Teach children properly and don't involve them in adult business especially on my dime and at the expense of my society, please Sir, I mean Dude. If more people were able to realize, prioritize, the important things and be willing to speak out when appropriate and necessary then our society and country might not be in the mess it's currently in Dude.

@@sylviataylor9451 First, I wouldn't call what she was doing reading. That's the whole problem. Second, she had no interest no matter how much Matt pushed it on her, she just wanted to play with the dog. But you want to encourage her nonexistent interest in history at the sacrifice of my sincere desire to learn, especially when her priority is to learn to read and her father's priority should be to do the job he is being paid to do. There is a time and place for everything. He can give her history walk and "reads" on their own time.

I'm a huge fan , but PLEASE STOP having children read the information!!!! As you are such a fan of saying Matt "the devil's in the details", and when there is a barely literate child reading the information it is too distracting and, broken, and unintelligible to understand! It's not cute. It turns out to just be a waste of time and with a 2 hour-plus walk/lecture with a deluge of information to take in and keep sorted in my mind this stunt makes it nearly impossible to digest the needed info to follow along, make any sense of the big picture, and keep the details sorted, even if I could even make out what she is saying which I can not! Again, it's not cute. It just cheapens your work and destroys your mission on a very serious subject. I'm sorry but this is the first complaint that I've ever had after watching years of your work. So far you have ruined a 2 hour 14 minute video in the first 27 minutes. How about letting the children be the children and you, the tax paid Ranger, be the historian?!? I can't believe you let this child who doesn't even know what the words are she is trying to read, or how to pronounce them to "read" the complex troop movements setting the stage for this whole 2 hours walk/lecture that's supposed to be a learning opportunity for the rest of us. I had so looked forward to this video but after having to rewinding and pause the video ever few seconds as she attempts to rattle off this information that she can't understand or read, nor understand how to read, nor speak so as I could even hear her through that microphone set up that it is basically ruined. Thank you.
