Sorry you lost your drill. Very interesting video, I find myself saying the same thing every week! More cracking progress, that engines going to look fantastic when installed! What a car its going to be!! And in the least easy circumstances in which to work

That drill has done some hard work the last few years, just a bit annoying. Should look nice once installed.

With reference to checking cam follower pre load, you do have a new cam and followers. I was caught by this many years ago with a rover v8 that would just not run properly. After replacing the cam and followers. After much frustration and searching and in desperation! i checked the pre load on the valve lifters. One side was fine the other was noticeably out. In short some of the valves were not closing properly. Once i has shimmed up the rocker gear on one side and got the lifter per load where it should be, it ran beautifully. I learnt a lot of new swear words over this. May be i was unlucky, but this is what i had and have never forgotten. Why is it we always remember the most annoying faults best? . I do like your videos and real world outlook. I wish you well.

I did go through and check although I didn't film it as there's other videos on KZread that explain it better than me. Your dead right though and we always remember the bad experiences. Glad you like my videos as I think it shows what you can do with limited resources, not like these tv shows with spotless workshops, ramps etc. 👍👍👍👍🤪🤪🤪

Really interesting video Stu takes me back a few years when we were playing with Mini, 1100 and Maxi engines. Looking forward to your future videos. You'll probably have it in and running by the next time I come over. X

What is different about this restoration is it being done with no state of the art tools and garage, just hard work, commitment and skill.Well done pal great to watch. When do you think we will hear it running?

That was part of the reason of making these videos to show what can be done from a lockup garage, Hopefully get it running in a few weeks. Still got to clean up the gearbox before the engine and box goes in. 👍
