I have a LOT of established poison ivy in the front AND back yard. Didn’t want to use chemicals but I’m on my way to the store RN! 😆

I just spray Roundup or Ranger pro with my green touch battery backpack sprayer and nail everything that looks suspicious. LOL

Oh bummer that it needed two applications. Would love to find a product that would work in one application. We have a 4 acre area loaded with poison ivy to deal with.

Don't think the 2nd app was needed. It maybe sped up the process by a day or two.

Great to see a video on how to actually kill poison ivy. Without all that homemade eco friendly concoctions that never work. Roundup is more eco friendly than the stuff they mix up anyway. With Roundup on poison ivy a slow death is better because it allows it to kill all of the roots. If you buy concentrated Roundup do not get generous with the concentrate. Mix according to the label instructions. Sure a “hot shot” of Roundup will kill it quicker. But you have only killed the foliage. It will grow back from the root. Poison ivy can be hard to kill late in the season. Because it mostly actively grows in the spring. It is practically dormant in the summer and fall. It won’t translocate the herbicide enough to kill it. Spray in the spring. In two weeks spray the stragglers. In WalMart Roundup concentrate is cheaper than generic glyphosate. Same strength.

@@shawnsmith4058 well, we’ve missed that haven’t we? It will still be effective in early summer. Tho there may be some regrowth next spring Late summer and fall, it won’t work at all. Poison ivy is practically dormant then. Tho you can do some damage.

I use plain distilled vinegar. Kills it much faster and is much more cost effective.

Poison ivy is a broadleaf weed. So if it’s out in your lawn that’s a good choice.

I do the same thing then i spray the roots and the rest with the vinager, salt, water and dish soap. Dead within 24 to 36 hours and better for you and the environment. This crap in this video here sucks.

@@kumgetusome6198 well vinegar salt dawn dish soap and water. Heavy on the vinegar and salt. I just used it in my back yard it worked great 4 days it was crispy. I did soak the first two days

My fiance talked me into trying this. We tried that 2x and it didn't do anything. Used the roundup ivy killer and it has started to wilt.

Look dry rip it off with ur hands

Then I would get poison Ivey! I’ll pass on that. I’m highly allergic.
