    Watching this video for the third time, what I've been missing is to actually punch out of the roundoff...for some reason I thought just to let the roundoff power and blocking angle do the work....but I now see he actually jumps with the punch and the end of the roundoff

    When you go for a high roundoff flashkick instead, do you flip the same way as a whip while blocking the roundoff at the angle you use for the high backflip, or is there something else to it?

    Im learning a round off back flip because i just learned a standing back flip I leaned by mistake kind of i was trying to learn a cheat gainer bcuz i thought it was easier but i wasnt landing it so i took a break, the cheat gainer practise got rid of my fear for going backward so after i came back from my break there was a feeling in my gut telling me to try a backflip so i just went for it with no progressions i just went for it i didnt land it but it felt great and by far easier than a cheat gainer so i tried again and on my second try i landed it so practically i hold the record for the fastest backflip learned literally on fove muinites

    You basically just gotta jump high and tuck harder. Raise your shoulder up when you jump and raise your knees towards your chest to initiate the flip.

    Land your setup with a slightly low chest position, stay tensed to absorb the power of the setup, bounce as straight upwards as high as possible. This is good blocking described. The key is to not land the previous trick with your chest too high.

  • @johzuke1

    @johzuke1

    Жыл бұрын

    Let's be honest, does that really matter at all 😅 The intention is all that matters. For me a layout is a regular style backflip with no tuck. Whip is a bhs style backflip, low and fast and you can punch another one from it if you want. But it's just terms and people have different definitions so you can't really argue what's right or wrong 🤷‍♂️
