You are highly underrated as an artist/craftsman. Mad props.
Really impressed by Kyle Toth. He obviously loves to do woodworking. He must have every tool imaginable. Thumbs up to him.
Not sure if you have the time to read all of these comments... but, I think you're one of the most inspirational craftsmen. When I see your projects, I am both in awe, and motivated. THANKS!

It's absolutely beautiful, I appreciate how hard you worked on this project. I am nearly 70 years old and just finished a college course for woodwork for women, I passed with honours, I loved every minute but sadly it will be my last arthritis has taken over. I wish I had found my passion years earlier like your age, I could have probably kitted out a whole house lol.
one of the best wood artist in USA. Greetings from Germany

Kyle... um... what!? That was ridiculously awesome. First, the table is drop-dead gorgeous. Second, the methods you used were crazy (bevel table saw cut on the edge of the round table top, the lathe set to an angle to shape the edge of the entire table top and... the GoPro attached to spinning wood on the lathe. Seriously... this was fantastic on so many levels. Wow!
Bro, this is the SICKEST hand made project I have EVER seen.
The way you cut the wood like it's pottery
Very nice my dude!

Dude, your creativity knows no bounds!
does anyone else see the two lighter streaks on the table?
@mikewelch3903
6 жыл бұрын
Yes, they are along the glue lines of the slabs of the top. Some of the glue penetrated the adjoining surface and it created a different absorption region, as compared to the areas that didn't absorb glue. These lines could be minimized by applying tape along the glue next to the edges of the slabs prior to glue-up.
Wood turning is when you put wood on a lathe and it spins. What is it when the piece remains motionless in space and the world rotates around it? I liked the perspective of that camera shot and would have liked to see more cutting when the camera was shooting.

You're quite a clever and gifted young craftsman, and you certainly don't lack inspiration. This video is very entertaining. You have a nicely equipped workshop and you use it well. Your folks must be quite proud of you. A European woodworker.
