Round 2 of the attempted DV dissection!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

In this, episode 138 of Powertec 10, DV, although seriously outnumbered, battles it out with a bunch of trolls with absolutely no manners or apparently brains and intellect. All this is directed to many of the commentator's on Eric Weingartner's channel at :-
• A Response To DV Video
After you have watched this video here go check out Eric's and while you are there - subscribe.
As you will see in our video, Eric is the good guy here because he can debate/discuss in a civilized manner. Not so for many of the commenters.
This is turning out to be one real hot topic here so don't miss this one out!
If you don't watch these two video's you will be missing out on what looks to be the automotive video's of the year!!!

Glad to see this. I like both men, and I appreciate both of their efforts in this hot rod community. I would like to give a perspective that I believe will help others relate to and by doing so-open their minds to the way things are in this life. I’m 45yrs old right now. I have tinkered with anything that had an engine since I was literally 5yrs old! At 7yrs old my dad got upset because I had pulled the 3hp tecumseh engine off of the garden tiller and put it on my Bigfoot (power wheel) with the tiller clutch and chain! He was so impressed tho -I think he refrained from taking his belt to me! Over the years I became more and more involved with mechanical, electrical, paint, body, welding, and how things work. When I was 16-18yrs old.. I really thought that I knew a lot 🤣… and now at 45, I can tell you that I have more to learn than I probably have years left! One thing I have learned is that there is a delicate balance between explaining how knowledgeable you are and boasting. This balance is the difference between someone trusting you to do work for them and someone else thinking you’re nothing more than a blowhard! I understand that, and I have listened to people who in very short time convinced me that they were simply full of shit-simply by the over the top claims they spat out! Most of the time I was right in my assumption, but there were a couple of times that I wasn’t-and what I did was assume a posture towards those people as to say that I wasn’t interested (assuming it was a farce) and as a result I turned away extraordinary opportunities by doing so🤦🏻‍♂️! My point is that unless you have truly gotten to know someone…you cannot doubt -the amount of things that a person has experienced for themselves, the amount of achievements that they have accomplished, or the events that someone in this life has witnessed! You know whats said about a person who “assume”(s) things! You can be an expert in a specific area and still have a great deal to learn- Once a person believes they know it all…there is only one thing that can be concluded-that person is done! Keep an open mind. What you will learn by doing that-is that the “other guy” has knowledge you need and vice-versa! THIS-is how we move forward….not through division 🤝❤

I made my opinion known about internet pissing contests last video so I won't repeat it. Love Eric's channel. I found another channel that's actually 3d printing intake ports and chambers and flowing them on a flow bench. Fusion 360 is free to hobbyists so rapid prototyping of these ports and engineering principals are easy to test accurately. It's really easy to test the geometries. I'm just waiting for generative design to become more available to hobbyists so I can set the important geometries for connections and everything. Then with the generative design I can have it run sim after sim to find the ideal shape and length for the given intake tract.

I think the best way to handle this is to take two sealed GM crate engines (604, or whatever they’re called). The only mods allowed are a custom spec’d cam by each contender, and head porting work done by each contender. Nothing else other than valve spring upgrades to support the selected cam. Then, a dyno battle royale where the winner takes all bragging rights.

David, one of the problems with being in the firing line as an expert (I don't like that word) is that if you wrote 3000 pages of technical articles a lazy person will try to condense it to a single line. Hypothetically if you found a small inlet valve worked in a very specific scenario you would be misquoted all over the internet as though you condemned large valves in any situation. I see this in other technical fields, often the "expert" is drastically misquoted or the information is presented out of context. If perhaps you do a livestream with Eric it would be better without the chat box, people on the sidelines often enjoy stirring more than learning. On a comedic level "how to modify your Mini" would not be very helpful if it had one page and one line saying "buy a Hillman Imp" 🙂

DV is well schooled and smart. This is obvious. He backs it up with his testing for the facts. He is also a gentlemen. Don’t confuse his being sure he is correct with arrogance. In person, he has acknowledged and given credit where credit is due without hesitation. Also, on a personal note, he has personally apologize to me for what he felt. If anybody is a critic DV in a negative Way, this is fine. Those of you that I think he is arrogant, should not confuse being sure of himself as such as arrogance. After meeting Dave in person, he has been quick to give credit with credit is due and was humble about the whole entire matter. He was also thoughtful enough to apologize to me on something. He thought he did wrong. In my book, he did nothing wrong, but this is a personal matter that is not going to be talked about. But I state as a testimony to his character. After spending a few days with David, the bottom line is, I can say he was a standup guy. Humble, kind, considerate and thoughtful. Arrogance was not part of the program. I think too many people being sure of oneself with arrogance. This is the furthest thing from the truth with David. I have nothing but good things to say about him. Look forward to meeting him again. In the video where he says with the story of the grape nuts, that he just wants to bring out the truth with the facts as carried over into his work career and it shows. If you can prove him wrong, do so with the facts! I’m sure he will give you credit because that’s the kind of person he has presented himself. He has done this in the past, giving credit with credit is due.

In that field, we all make mistakes, some blame others for their own mistakes. -- I've made mistakes and plenty of them and the guy that never makes mistakes has never been born and never will be. --- If I don’t have an answer to a question or problem, I call people who might know the answer. We can't know it all. --- I've saved myself a lot of grief David following these words and the greatest one of all is about Jesus Christ. The man, as great as he was, wasn't welcome in his own city. Right ? So don’t let these young guy's, who haven't put their years of experience in, live in your head for à minute David. You're our Godfather and I've sent prayers out for what really matters which is your health. So drop those others that can only hope to get to your level.

I think one thing that Eric doesn't believe is the 128 formula because I look at sone the builds he does they are good but with the right L,SA they would be better

If you used the 128 rule in a competitive field such as nascar or v8 Supercars you’d get left for dead.

With your resume and global respect I can't imagine anybody saying you're full of shit! I wouldn't think of debating anything because I know you have forgot waaaaaay more than I've ever known about engines and saying that is a complement to me because I'm not even in the same universe of knowledge. Haters gonna hate that's all it is. I'm surprised Eric thinks your wrong about anything, I don't know even what it is I haven't been up on what going on, but he's a talented knowledgeable sharp fellah. When I comment on a YT video I look it over to make sure it doesn't sound shitty if so I'll redo it or just abort. I found Don't comment if your having a terrible day it changed your tone and years ago I even apologized to a person and said sorry had a bad day I didn't mean to say that I've been careful ever since. Don't worry DV most of us know you're the man!

Much of your contribution to this industry has had relevance, but a lot of what you’ve done has been developed further and a fair bit of it has been proven wrong. Some of us have taken the time to learn more than your work taught the industry, and along the way we have proven many of your claims and hypotheses incorrect and misleading. (Scientifically speaking you hypothesize often and have rarely reached the burden of proof to claim a theory). What Eric Weingartner says about being humble is factually why I don’t hold you in the highest regard and only pay attention to what you do as it relates to fundamentals. Your ego is showing in these rants, which is why I seriously struggle to accept anything you present blindly. Stop telling us how great you are and show us, or continue these silly comment response videos all the while hurting your reputation and legacy at the same time. I want to respect your integrity and contribution but I’m finding it harder by the day.

This whole situation is descending into ridiculousness. I think you and the other guy should delete these clips going back and forward at each other and move on with a bit more professionalism and dignity. I cringe watching these clips between you two. It's actually embarrassing for both of you.

I walk away from poisonous people/YTchannels/etc. I was getting tired of his whining, un-scientific testing methods anyway. Putting down someone with many decades of experience was the last straw, so I left that channel. Sorry, David, I can't grant your wish, I actually unsubscribed from his channel. He needs to earn my respect - which he lost just recently.

Mr Vizard every time I hear a story about your life I realize you have lived though a lot as a young man. There is a reason you've survived all of it to be here today to share your knowledge. Also don't let the trolls get to you as you can't have a valid discussion with them. As the saying goes don't argue with stupid people they will drag you down and beat you with experience.

They only say outlandish things just to get a reaction. Just stick to the material and piss on the rest. We know who and what they are up to. The older you get the more they don’t think you know. I don’t like punks either DV. I’m telling you F the punks and show us the master you are. Don’t go to their level and fit with these guys.
