Very sweet and pretty bird.She thinks she's supposed to stay on the pink stripe because she's pink! :-)

My rosas are mega noisy.They are quiet as during the day but on dawn and in the afternoon they go off for a good half hour.Even when they are going off they ..make sweet noises unlike all the other parrots.I used to work in a large aviary with many different parrots, the bourkes were the nicest by far.A beautiful and underrated bird.

My female Bourke is really quiet, except for when she hears my alarm in the morning. After that, she calls out to keep me from sleeping again :D Sometimes, she also sings, but in a very low voice, so it's hard to hear. Yours is adorable!

How sweet! I wish Phoebe was still around. She escaped a couple of years ago. I found a new partner for Io named Chloe, but he doesn't like her. He is still grieving for Phoebe.

Im pretty sure my 2 male parakeets just fell in love cuz they have been so quiet while listening to your Rosy Bourke Parakeet .

Bourke's parakeets are not as noisy and active as Budgies. They are ideal for apartments.

they're like the opposite twin of budgies lol.. the colours budgies don't have(red, pink) and a cute endearing non gregarious chirp.

Maybe it depends on the individual person and individual bird? I've had the joy of having a sweet budgie sit on my finger, but I've also been bitten when I picked up a loose department store budgie that was about to escape out into the snow. Ouch!

What's the best starter bird, among Bourque's, Budgie, Cockatiel, and Lineolated parakeet, if you would not mind giving me your opinion? And about how long does Bourke's live, the same as Budgies, or longer? I read your cute bird escaped.Sorry!

Are you serious? Aw i don't know what id do if i lost Kiwii and Mercedes :(. But my parakeets act the same as you said they are half brothers and the youngest one likes to pick on my oldest parakeet. Its kinda funny how they act like human kids :p.

Parakeet means "little parrot". There are many varieties of parakeet. What most people call a parakeet is a parrot species, Budgerigar.
