The earlier seasons of friends had these really nice sub-stories in the scenes. Like here, it's so adorable that while Ross is telling Joey about how dirty her apartment is (main storyline), he's also tying his tie then later gives it to Joey, it feels more realistic that way when the sitcom isn't Only focused on the main storyline of the dirty girl.

Nah , Ross is a know it all jerk , I like Monica , Joey , Phoebe , the rest is just arrogant nonsense, like the show ! Only way to watch Rachel is thru Ross and their relationship, that was cute ! They did a good job making it look like it was the result of someone being habitually messy. I once saw a TV show with a similar plot but the room didn't look convincing, like they just dumped a chest of stuff in the middle to make it look messy.

the part when they're making out on the couch is probably the funniest thing i've ever seen on a tv show. i must have watched it 100 times now and it still makes me laugh uncontrollably. the sounds and facial expressions david schwimmer is able to make are absolutely hilarious.

I'm with Ross. If I dated somebody who had the dirtiest, smelliest place to live in, I wouldn't date them in a million years.

You've obviously never seen a college girls dorm. OMG. I helped my brother move his daughter from her freshman dorm into a summer apartment. I expected the male dorms to garbage heaps, but by the holy beards of Gandalf and Dumbledore, the girls dorm room was exponentially worse.
