Honestly it’s one of those heat of the moment things, both drivers never put hands on each other, aired out their frustrations and walked away. People are starting to act like it’s one big rivalry like Sam Mayer and Ty Gibbs.

Good to see Ross running up front. He did it the old school way by racing back marker cars and finishing higher than they were capable of. Somebody saw that and gave him a shot. Now his star is on the rise.

What a humble, cool, honest guy.

Stand up driver! And that's coming from a Truex Jr. fan! Ross did nothing wrong and the way he handled the media was top notch! If Truex is that mad about it,then maybe he should go out and win next weeks race!

Truex should be little upset, but notice how he handled it like a man and talked to Ross.

@@blacklisterd Never going to happen. Truex is always right. He does nothing wrong. It pretty obvious what happened too. Truex intended to cross over Ross but didn't expect Ross to protect the bottom and give him a lane up top. Instead of taking that run to the top, Truex acted like the child he usually acts like and ran into the back of Ross just perfectly enough to upset the car enough to expose Truex's running out of talent. Then he's got the gall to be upset with someone else over him wrecking himself on a straightaway. JGR Equipment > MTJ Talent

@@blacklisterd He didn't wreck himself, look at the replay for gods sake. Chastain chopped Truex's nose, plain and simple. He blocked a guy who had a run and was 2 inches from being beside him, which you can clearly see from Chastain's bumper cam. You just don't do that, because this is what happens, and he should've known that. I assume it was just a lapse in judgement from Chastain.

We were talking about where we're going fishing next week that's a good one I like it

They didn't look angry. Wish we could hear their pit lane discussion. Truex looked to be smiling a bit as well.

I saids a few years ago if Ross got into a good car he would run up front and maybe win and I was right he can drive the wheels off a race car

I'm a 59 year old man and race fan since my Uncle Sonny took me to Golden Gate Speedway at the age of 6 at the old Fair Grounds in Tampa Fl. I've been a race fan ever since from I96 Speedway in Lake Odessa Mi or Berlin Speedway in Marne Mi. Eldora in Roosberg Oh to 417 Southern Speedway in Punta Gorda Fl and Ross Chastain reminds me of a guy that raced hard every lap and for every position! It's great to have a racer that's actually racing! Last lap, racing for position! It's NOT about RESPECT, IT'S RACING!! GOD BLESS ROSS CHASTAIN AND REST IN PEACE DALE EARNHARDT! I see him in you! Hammer down!!

Truex and Chastain were talking about fishing at the end, and people are saying they are fighting and being crybabies? What?😂

I remember when the media stocked the flames on mark martin and dale Earnhardt. I thought they hated each other. I was sitting at charlotte one year watching Busch qualifying and happy hr for the Winston cup boys. Broke out my binoculars and was scanning the pits when I seen Martin and dale just laughing it up and having a good time. I’ve never bought into there bullshit since.

I love Chastain’s aggressiveness. Series needs it. Getting tired of the “Everyone needs to race like a gentleman” attitude.

Truex is a champion driver who speaks when he feels it’s needed. I’m not going to act like truex is the guy I’d expect to seek revenge. But I definitely think Ross will be raced hard by Truex now. It also needs to be said not every accident or post race conversation needs to be highlighted and put out there like it’s the next great nascar rivalry...

Truex won’t win again he’s just crying in his last season at Gibbs I am just being honest they are gonna put Ty in that ride and resign Kyle who also hasn’t been the same. Denny could have won today but Chris needs to slow that pit crew down if they are going so fast they aren’t getting the single lug nut on. I’ll take no penalties over 11 second stops

Truex believes he's not allowed to be blocked fighting for a top 5 finish on the last lap. Ross had to take that lip service for now, but as he gets stronger...he won't

I love nascar. Especially all the ignorance that some fans portray regularly. I mean it’s not even about what’s right anymore. It’s literally about just finding any argument you can use against someone else. People generally have differences of opinion on a lot of things. Even so there used to be a baseline of what’s right and wrong. There isn’t a line anywhere anymore and it’s sad to see ignorance on display and nothing to keep it in check…

Near as I can tell, Truex and Chastain were racing hard on the last lap. Truex had a run, Chastain went to block, and Truex spun. The great debate is whether Chastain's block was too late, or whether he had a right to his lane as the car in front. Depends on who you root for, I guess.

Having gone back and reviewed the 2 angles available, this appears to be the case of truex trying to wreck the 1 and failing. There was space on the outside and he didn't go for it. Or maybe, it was an attempt at a cross over and he didn't expect the one to leave the top open. Either way this one falls completely on Truex. It was such an odd looking spin that an intentional turn seems more likely, and based on how much Truex has displayed his hatred of people not pulling over for him in the past, I'd say it was a failed attempt.

This wasn’t questionable. If you still don’t have at least a fender on hun exiting the turn you have no expectation to have that spot. He’s going to be just fine. I think he’s aggressive but he’s been battling to get to the dance for years and he’s going to make the most of it and isn’t interested in letting people get in his way….that attitude worked well for a guy named Earnhardt right down the wry interview post race.

@@timmyhillfacts6455 Actually if he isn’t along side in any way, that’s exactly what you can and should do. They give each other the lane quite a bit during the race, but no one has to do that and certainly not on the last lap for a position.

Truex basically wrecked himself. Can’t complain for something he did.
