This story is about"The Anti Cool Girl" Written by Rosie who has revealed herself, her personality, family, and social challenges. Amazing story of Mt Everest landslides and snow peaks through sisterhood and love. Thank you for sharing this "lifting the veil" on an Australian family imperfect but shining and learning as they journey together.

I think that Waterland has chosen the path less travelled to share her difficult upbringing which is very courageous, esp as she seems to be a less than likely character to be able to do so (anxiety yada yada). I think its important that someone shares these experiences so that young people who do go through this don't feel isolated and can see that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and hope. I don't think many people who do go through this would be able to so bravely bare their soul to the world - its just not many people's jam because being pitied really sucks. But I think we need to know that these experiences are very prevalent within the Australian narrative more than we care to admit. I'm actually sick of people acting like its a rarity! It's so common but we all like to pretend our S#!+ don't stink and that it is just for bogans. Australia is a nation of hardcore bogans and very sad circumstances and we should own it and do something about it. First very brave step is to talk about what IS going on in sooo many aussie homes. Let not sweep the S#!+ under the rug like its not there... whiff it up, and do something about it!

Mum was NOT a good Mum even when she was home she wasn’t “present”. These incredible girls grew up, despite their Mum’s lack of nurturing, caring, protecting & loving each other. Mum please don’t put your hand up to take credit now. Bravo Rosie, you’re an inspiration. I wish you & your sister’s all the very best in life. In spite of your upbringing & despite your Mum’s efforts to hand you all off you’ve prevailed.♥️♥️♥️

So...the mom is still all about herself. She is pathetically self celebratory. That witch shouldn’t have a right to indulge with those beautiful girls. “I feel bad because you feel bad” That’s the same as “I’m sorry that YOU feel that way” She just doesn’t get it. “I” “I” “I”🙄 I can NOT believe Rosie’s one touch stone was... Taken. So she went from childhood trauma, right on to Adult trauma with Tony. I don’t think that’s necessarily a mental issue- that’s normal grief and survival struggle. Great job she’s done in not only keeping her head above it all...but thriving quiet successfully.

@@keldakellie9164 i like too look at these stories as a long term development. hard too imagine how censorship is good for society... i think it should be discussion and problem solving instead.

Love you young lady. But I do feel for your mum. She, Lisa, was a wonderful, caring and loving woman. Please don't put her down. Unacceptable in my eyes. Your mum is my a tough, resilient woman that had some real SHIT experiences. I do agree that sadly your dad was not the best.
