Both Rosie and James are class acts who are actually better live than in the studio. If they come to a venue near you, get out there or you´re gonna miss something!

I miss Texas and my old life so much. I'm laying here in my bed crying over my life that once was, now I'm an old cripple invalid. I used to know Rosie, and James Intveld has kissed me more than once. Now I just sit here alone with my memories, in pain.

I had never seen this official video before. Loved this song when I first heard it on the radio in 1987 in Calgary, Alberta and finally found the 45 a couple years later, which I played to death. 20 years later (2007) I was asked to cut a rockabilly album (released 2011), and this version of this song was the inspiration and my very first choice of song I wanted to put on it. Nice to see the writer in this video as well, the young guy playing the guitar, James Intveld, who also sings harmony.

The memories of staying at my auntys house in Oldham when I was 7 in school holidays and she would play this and I would make her repeat it over and over again singing in the mirror with her hairbrush xxx the good old days x

She is not only a great singer, but she is also a really smart guitarist. The womanl can rock! How many other female hillbilly singers can swing an axe like that? NONE.... that's how many.

Great video - it amazes me how videos like this, and some of Dwight Yoakam's, were never preserved by the record label. Or were and just hidden away. Some of the videos on Dwight's official channel are TV captures. I fixed your video. Just cut the opening few frames. A simple cut that left the rest of the file clean and untouched so there was no loss of quality. It's too big to email though....

back in the days...way back in the days...she and Dwight Yoakam were the best two on the scene in L.A., and Dwight's career took off and hers did not right about the time this album came out. Knowing something about the entertainment industry, I cannot help thinking there must have been some way in which she did not play ball the way she was supposed to in order to become more of a massive commercial success. There is a price you have to pay to get there...something which never gets talked about...but those performers who achieve massive commercial success, they do not get there without compromising something which perhaps she never would... I do not know this, but it would be my best guess as to why she never became one of the obscenely rich people who cash in on the biggest commercial success... I ..mean, listen to that VOICE, and that energy, and those licks on the guitar, you will not find the reason for the lack of greater commercial success there...on the contrary.

she was always much better in person than recorded or on video...otherwise, she would have been a much more massive success. back in the days, she and dwight oakam were playing the same little sawdust on the dance floor clubs in l.a....and dwight took off and never looked back...
