This was my very first Bear & Son and so I have been very pleased. Glad to see such good work coming out of the USA!

Both Barlows are very nice knives! In my opinion Bear & Sons is the way to go. For a USA company to put out such a great knife with a working man's price tag is AMAZING!!! Great content, I love traditional knife videos!

Hi Brian, Army vet here. The Knife doctor sent me. I'm going with the Rose Craft. I'm a sucker for a bolster thread (whatever that groove on the bolster is called) It reminds me of a uniform cuff stripe.

Good job Bryan on making that 500 sub mark so fast. Those are some really good looking knives .I was planning to get the red stag bone a day or two ago and I got busy and didnt get on the puter. They are probably sold out by now a lot of folks are talking about them. Thanks Brother

I have knives from both Rose Craft Blades and Bear & Son. I find that RCB has good quality, and very nice “presentation”with their packaging. Bear & Son likewise is high quality, but a lot less in price, as well as American made. No fancy box, just a nice, sharp knife that looks good. Where RCB shines is in their development of unique patterns, and resurrection of some old ones. My heart is with Bear & Son, but RCB is really tugging at me. 😮 Bryan, good to have a fellow Kentuckian talking knives on KZread!

All of those were nice. I liked the second one you showed before you showed the Rose Craft knife. I don't own either brand of those knives. But they really look awesome. Thanks for sharing. I am looking to buy the Bear and Son. I already own the Rosecraft which I own several of their traditional and modern knives. They have impeccable quality even with their seconds. Each knife is examined before it is boxed for shipment with Rosecraft.

Yep! B&S knocked that one out of the park.

I really wish that white bone bear was D2 but it is SS. There D2 are the moderns with Trx screws which are more. I think you just slipped the first time. Great comparision Bryon. Thanks for sharing.. I just got my carbon in wood and D2 white bone modern. .

Well, I don’t know why Bear & Son chose a sheepsfoot blade but from personal experience I’ve found them to be very useful whether whittling, scoring cardboard, opening packages, etc. Hope that helps!

My Bear and Son 4" Barlow fit and finish was excellent. Great walk and talk. ... Major down side, the blade was not sharp and was thick behind the edge. Will never be a good slicer. That really disappointed me.
