Rosa Ana - Second Part (slow)

Музыка

This is a tutorial on how to play the second part of Rosa Ana. Although the song is in the key of G, the second part shifts (or modulates) to the key of C. I demonstrate two versions of the second part: one with a lot of push/pull action, the other without.
It's played here on a Hohner Panther (GCF/Sol). Rosa Ana was written by Tony De La Rosa and is sometimes spelled with two n's: Rosa Anna.
Rosa Ana is the March 2014 song of the month (canción del mes) on the Reyes accordion forum -- find the link here:

I'm still here (phew!). Just haven't played in a while, sadly. Maybe I'll pull it out of storage and try to get the bass going on La Nopalera.

Glad you like them! My only suggestion is too keep playing. I've gone months, even years, between playing the accordion. As a result, I've had to use my own videos to reacquaint myself with the songs I used to play. What a tragedy. Ha.

Hello I have been learning the accordion recently and have been using your videos as a guide. I was wondering if there will ever be a bass video for Rosa Anna even after all these years

This is great. However, I am a beginner with a F Bb Eb scale Honner Panther accordion, not a GCF scale. If you know of someone who teaches with an accordion in my scale, as methodically (slow paced) as you do, please refer me to him in KZread. I like your methodology because it is easy to follow, i.e. do-able. Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out. I'm personally not familiar with anyone that teaches in that scale -- so I'm not able to direct you to somebody else. The good news is that you can at least follow along by pressing the same buttons to get the same melody (just in a different scale). I realize that doesn't answer your question, so I would encourage you to keep looking for a tutor -- and keep playing. Cheers!

No new videos. :( But, search for videos that indicate the bass is being used (you'll find a few like that in my channel).

Sorry. But the good news I'm still alive -- ha! Maybe some day I can get more out -- then you can see how gray I've become in old age. Ha.
