CLASSLESS AND DISGUSTING to pile in on a person, who clearly has their own personal reasons, for not wanting to play under SOUTHGATE! Gareth has overlooked many a form player and now wants to select a bunch he's clearly not going to take, when his favourites are back fit or playing well! Where was this energy last season when Benjamin was in great form, yet being overlooked due to him playing "Right Back", when clearly Gareth, if astute as a coach knows the versatility of the player. There are TWO sides to this and the player has now been thrown under the bus.

@WCamden Ben, for whatever reason, left. In squads after that, there were a couple where he didn’t warrant being picked at full back anyway because others were fit, and he wasn’t playing centre back to be picked there. It’s just weird imo

Why are they saying he does t want to "PLAY"!? Has not been called up before and never played?

Maybe the constant degrading of players by Gareth in favour of his favourite players had constitute to players thinking the squad will not be selected on merit? the integrity of England squad was compromised when Maguire and Henderson were selected over players that were playing well.

There was an interview with Ben when he was first selected for England. He said he cried for half an hour and his parents cried as well on how proud they all were. For him to turn around a couple of years later, something really bad must have happened. Southgate pretended he knows nothing why and just threw him under the bus putting all the blame on him. He and Holland has a lot to answer for. When Bellingham did not want to be called up last year, not a murmur. Southgate is the disgusting one.

My guy he survived a 6+ year life threatening illness and has been playing through Injury for us for near 2 seasons now, I think it is fine if he wants some R&R regardless of what happened. Though he was overjoyed when he got his cap(s) anyway so there really is way more behind what happened.

Rory demanding respect to authorities of position on one hand, and now demanding White disclose what went on (which would disrespect authorities) is hypocritical. No other media other than English media does this overhyped and over the top ambitions on their national team..
