Hi @Shreyansh, Thanks for watching ROR.Our experience of MMG Kit has been good. Offroad prowess has been proven by the leh trip and off-road circuit. On-road comparison video will be coming up soon. For practical day to day driving, a 2.5-inch lift is enough. 5 inch lift is not required and is very expensive.

Hi. Great video. I’m sitting in the fence for a good suspension upgrade. The stock suspension crashes and bounces on the roads. Making the ride very stiff and uncomfortable. Does MMG help in that area. Is your onroad drive more supple ? Did you get the 2.5 inch lift? Thanks

Hey if I’m getting 35/12.50 R18 Radar Renegade RT+ tires for my Thar LX I currently have 2” lift kit and 2” spacers installed will the tires run smoothly or will I need to get something done, appreciated

Hi TrueRebel, Thanks for watching ROR. For day to day use and normal off-roading, there will be no issues. For extreme off-roading like this track, the tires will rub with cladding and break the same.The cladding and wheel arch will need slight alterations. You should go for 35s they look really good with mmg lift kit.

Sir, wanted your opinion. Do you suggest getting a 2015 Toyota Fortuner 4x4 or wait for 5 door Mahindra thar? in current scenario

Hi Shreyansh, 5 Door Thar with MMG Lift 2.5" and 34 /35 inch tires will give fortuner 2015 a run for its money! Our suggestion is to go for 4 door Thar.

@@RubberOnRoads do inhave the freedom of choosing suspension of my choice in the 2.5 inch lift ?

With this lift, which tyre size is most suitable? 33 or 34 inches? Can it accommodate 35’s? Any special thing to take care during this lift kit install? Or can it be installed at any garage by a good mechanic? Any special tuning needed?

Hi Mithun, Thanks for watching ROR. 34s were brushing with rear wheel cladding while extreme off-roading. Did not cause any damage. This is something that never happened during the Leh trip. For 35s, you will have to remove cladding and make change to wheel arch. 33s would fit, but with a lift kit, you would want at least 34s to give Thar the right looks. Mmg lift kit is only installed Mmg team at their facility. MMG kit is not available off the shelf.

@@RubberOnRoads Thank you for the reply. Hope 34s are just touching the cladding and not any metal part. Hope this can be taken out easily. In your previous video, I remember you mentioning the offset of the wheels should be minimum -12 to fit the mmg kit. Please correct me if I am wrong.

@Mithun.Sathianath The tyres were just touching clading and did not damage the same. There is no need for any modification. A negative offset is not a must. One can always use spacer

@@RubberOnRoads thank you. With the lift kit, I am planning for 285/75/17 which will be 33.8” which will be anyways slightly smaller than your wheels which i believe is 34.3” (295/70/18).

​@@RubberOnRoadsI'll have to inquire from MMG whether their lift kits can only be installed at their facility. Because there are potential customers all over the country and it's impossible for them to bring their Thars to the MMG facility for installation.

Wheels make ton of difference

In my mind, modifications should not come at a cost of reliability

@@RubberOnRoads yes I've watched those videos and also I have watched those videos in which CV boots were leaking oil, differential was being hampered as you could not turn your vehicle. To be honest I was really surprised to watch that video. But kudos to your dedication for bringing such detailed videos.
